 This picturesque Inn is set on the slopes overlooking Loch Leven with its famous island castle where Queen Mary was imprisoned. The dining room and conservatory are situated on the shores of the Loch and give a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. There is a small well stocked bar and the staff are friendly and happy to chat. The menu is varied and reasonably priced with a 2 course lunch running at £10.95. Xmas and New Year special deals are on offer for those looking to get away! |

I was biking around Scotland and this day -after a trip of 180 kms- I couldn't find a place to camp. As a small light in the darkness, The Country Inn was my ultimate salvage. Roger offered me (as a lost son) a fine room with a comfortable bed and a real Scottish breakfast (with beautiful view over Loch Lomond) for a very reasonable price. Fantastic experience... !
