Jack fantastic friendly pub Truly wonderful place. Splendid when I lived in Oxford (between 1995 and 2002), and still on top form on my last visit in summer 2010. Proper pub, and an excellent reason to live in Oxford! The Cricketers has suffered over the years with poor management. No parking irregular opening hours, rather dirty, no real ale. Thursday, September 07, 2006 Rating: rosettes amber Friendly, Fun, Cosy, Good value for money The Cricketers Arms on Iffley Rd can be misleading for what you see on the outside. However once you get in you realise what a gem it really is. You can go there just to chill earlier on in the day and most nights theres wonderful live music. Its run by a local young couple who know the area very well and who are also very polite. The prices are good compared to many other places in Oxford which are usually fairly expensive. The pub has a pool table, football table, games machine, clean toilets, two big comfy sofas and usually live music. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT? the Cricketers Arms is in a nutshell?? lovely.
