| Visited several times over October half-term as we were staying in the village and found to be lively, warm, welcoming and the pub food was great. Staff friendly and although because of half-term was full of families there was always room to sit. |

| nothing short of a miracle, this place is truly a god send!! bar staff are undoubtebly the finest in the land!! Happen to catch a glimpse of the dashing chef, accompanied by 2 fine young gentleman, all sporting the stylish 'spicy n nicey' curry t-shirts. (the essential kitchen garment for all espiring young kitchen porters) Definitely would return, lovely friendly environment that made us feel very welcome. MASSIVE SHOUTOUT TO THE GODFATHER LLOYD CURRIE!! YOUR MY BOY DAVEY!!!! Peace out b-towns down!xx |

| Mrs Jane Hutchinson | Will never visit again !! |
| Absolute shocking bar service, rudest staff I have ever encountered. Walked out unable to get served, whilst the staff giggled in the back kitchen about a poor man stood outside with his dog in the pouring rain. One member of staff even walked straight past the waiting bar customers to tell the tale in the Kitchen totally ignoring all those wanting service. Never again. |

| Mick | Has it regained it's former glory ? |
| Just heard that the pub is back in the hands of previous licensee. After the last change, it served the worst pub food I have ever had. Add unhelpfull staff, it became a place to avoid, and a place that rarely attracted return custom, you wouldn't want to experience it twice !
I look forward to trying it again although I vowed never to return! |

| A party of 6 of us called in for a meal on Friday night without a booking. We were given a table straight away and after ordering the food didnt have to wait long. The standard of food and service was very good and we will definitely return there the next time we are in the area. |

| Craster Arms | A Return to Former Glory |
| The Craster Arms is now back under the management of Mr Watson who built such a good reputation prior to its sale in 2005. Famous for its great family atmosphere and exceptional food, the Craster Arms promises to return to its high standard of service and quality. |

| C Kelly | Ripped off by totally uncompromising management |
| I booked an apartment at the Craster Arms and was quoted £85 for 5 people in the apartment. I arrived to be told that the apartments only slept 4 and we would need 2 apartments and a z bed at an extra charge. The manager was totally disinterested and just kept saying his staff would never have quoted us for 5 in one room. (In fact, I spoke to 2 different people and both quoted us the £85 and assured me that the apartment would be ok for 5) We ended up paying £185 for the night and were furious. The manager and owner would take no responsibility for their mistake. Appalling attitude and very unpleasant manager. |

| We visit northumberland every year and always pay a visit to the Craster Arms at least twice in the week that we are there. This year was no exception and it was nice to see that everything is as good as it should be. Nice food, nice service, nice done up surroundings - can't ask for anything more! |

| This is a pub, but wait, its more than that.... As you walk in, you will notice change, be it good or bad in your mind, one thing I know for sure is that the chef, a Mr David Hume is a legend.....
I also reckon that if myself and this certain chef were to team up, we would be up for a drink/pool challange from anyone in the world.... Fact we will not be beat!!!
But getting back to the pub... It is what YOU make it!!! So get the rounds in..... |
