| | Anonymous | Sunday Carvery in Holsworthy ...... | | We were told of this new and wonderful pub that had just opened in Holsworthy, and we should go down and try the carvery. We travelled from Bude, and realised when we got there that the pub was the Old Market Inn. My first thoughts were, I've been here before and did not enjoy it one bit. However I was convinced by my partner to carry on with our plans. We met up with our friends inside the pub and wow what a difference. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We sat on the leather sofas reading the complementary papers until it was time to go through. We walked through to what was a busy yet very well organised restaurant and shown to our table by the courteous and bubbly waitress, and then up to the carvery. With a choice of three meats and endless veg and roast pots, it was hard to make my mind up. After eating what seemed to be a mountain of food we retired back to the bar for coffee and other refreshments. We would like to say a big thank you to the new owners for looking after us so well, and look forward to seeing them very soon. | | Mike | New Look of an Old Pub | | The old Market Inn has changed hands,and is now one of the best pubs in the area. Fully refurbished with a non-smoking seating area with leather seats, a completely refitted restaurant and main bar. Its nice to see Real Ales back in Holsworthy, and well kept too.
