 The Wheatsheaf in Woodplumpton has recently been refurbished
The Wheatsheaf in Woodplumpton is a comfortable village pub. It is the only pub in the village of Woodplumpton, Preston Lancashire.
The Wheatsheaf has friendly staff and a host of locals to chat with and while away an hour or two. Always a pleasant place to drop by and have a pint. The menu looked very inviting with it's wide assortment of dishes. Closed on Monday lunchtimes. Beware of the haunted fireplace!

Its one of those country pubs which has not lost its quainte country feel, still full of charm and character which you dont get any more. The pub has a great history and also has a ghost if you can believe it thing is i am not really in to that sort of thing but they do have a picture of it by the big open fire. I was welcomed by all the staff where excellent and the menu was great, i would recommend the homemade pies.
