Jim Boswell Chef came to our rescue Searching for a meal on the long road back to Somerset from a disappointing C&G Final at Lords cricket ground we stopped at three pubs in the Candovers area but none had food available. We were about to give up as we meandered the dark lanes but came upon the Woolpack. Here too initially we were told that the kitchen had just closed. However the chef, a cricket lover himself, who was having a drink in the bar said NO PROBLEM and opened the kitchen to serve the six of us. Full marks for excellent hospitality and food.
