The Black Bull is found on the main stag/hen night route in the Grassmarket area. With a large wooden interior on two levels it can be very busy at weekends. It is best to start your night here before the bar becomes solidly mobbed! In summer tables are set outside where one can enjoy a reasonably priced menu and a drink and just sit in the sun and watch the comings and goings of the Saturday market.
