| tracy farrell | we miss you | | we spent wonderfull days and nights at the inn and have wonderfull memories . since changing owners i have tried over and over to stay and ask that we can vacate at 11 am rather than 10 am as its a weekend break . no is always the reply . i undrtstand family commitments but i want to eat there , use the bar and just feel relaxed . the terms to me are more like a b & b . am sad no exception on a sunday morning , only one hour , happy memories of the inn and we miss the way things used to be , | | Sunday, March 14, 2010 | Rating:  rosettes |
| | kirstie | great food, great service, great price ! | | I had the menu on the website, and as I was visiting Dunblane with my mum for the weekend, it seemed like a good choice for a meal for us.
The staff were all extremely friendly and accomodating and we were under no pressure to eat up and shift out. The food was absolutely delicious. Do not miss the beer battered cod with homemade chips and if you have room, you really have to try the sticky toffee pudding - it was the best I have EVER tasted !!!
All in all, a fantastic evening, and 2 people, 2 courses and 2 glasses of wine for under £40 !

| | Mrs Lothian | Divine | | Hear, hear Mr Grath. I am a regular visitor at the Sherrfimuir Inn and have always experienced exceptional service. Yes there are days when it is incredibly busy but the attention from the staff is always first class and when you consider that this is a family run business with the same staff always on duty you can only ever be sympathetic to the fact that serving has to stop at some time to allow people the opportunity to have a break before the evening rush. I can never decide which I like best lunch or evening dinner, both are an experience which should be sampled, relished and enjoyed. The food is divine and the service is second to none in the local area, it's even exceptional value for money - you don't find that often! My personal reccommendation would be the strawberry pavlova - yum yum, I have never tasted another one like it anywhere in the world. | | T McGraith, Lanarkshire | can't believe you rated it a 1! | | Shocked to see Sheriffmuir Inn receive a rating of 1, particularly as most people give it full marks. I visited the Sheriffmuir Inn and had a great meal. The pub restaurant has a traditional menu with big portions, and a specials board for people who like something a bit different. The food and service was of an exceptional standard with a venue and atmosphere to match. The beautiful hills of Perthshire, which you can look at whilst you eat, are also something special!

| | Dr Ian & Mrs Kathy Fraser | Scotland at its worst! | | We had a lovely lunch here in late December when we celebrated our mother's life after a burial at nearby Logie Cemetery. As a young woman she had walked here with her fiance to eat bacon and eggs- this was the only place to enjoy this delicacy because of war rationing.
Different story when Ian and Kathy Fraser returned on Sat Feb 17th to revisit her grave and unwind with a half pint and a bowl of soup.
We had already enquired at the funeral lunch if we could bring our well behaved springer dog in to the bar area when we returned. Most welcome . Kathy went in to the bar first at about ten to two,just to check that we could come in to the bar area with said dog. We could indeed.
We sat until 2.15pm without being asked for an order- they were obviously busy, but we were not in a hurry. Eventually we managed to stop a running waitress to ask if we could have soup from the blackboard displayed in the bar. She informed us we were too late- orders stopped at 2pm. We explained we had been here since 1.50. She would ask the chef. Meanwhile a charming barman offered us a drink- had not realised we had not been served. We ordered drinks and crisps as we were somewhat hungry by this stage.
We were then accosted by the woman who had admitted us to the establishment in the first place who accused us of not having stated that we required food when we entered the establishment at 10 to 2. We were rather stunned by her agressive attitude ( as were other diners who raised their eyes skywards in sympathy) we only want a bowl of soup, we replied but if its too much trouble -better cancel the drinks too as we need some food
The upshot was that we got the soup, having to listen to a constant barrage of shouting from the kichen, which had been going on constantly. The ultimate screaming at a loud and long pitch suggested to us that there were major problems going on amongst the staff. We only stopped for a drink but where impressed by the friendly staff and the way they chatted to people and made them feel welcome. The old Bouzy Rouge décor remains but the atmosphere and the menu have both improved, most likely because it’s family run. You can't beat the location and the food has always been to a high standard although slightly better when a Bouzy Rouge was operating. Staff were friendly and atmosphere enjoyable. | | Daraius Master | New Chef New Menu | | I live only 20 minutes away and will rant and rave about this pub until I'm red in the face. Mark the new chef has really pulled out the stops and designed a first class menu.
Outstanding service and a good range of drinks. The warm but classy recently refurbished interior is fantastic and the food is absolutely outstanding.
