Alan (market trader) I have been staying 2 nights per week in this grand and warm little pub,the locals are very social and a good laugh,the bar maids are great girls and a good laugh,also the landlady lisa is very good and puts on good local entertainment fri/sat/sun pop in for a good night. Monday, June 09, 2008 Rating: No rosettes Darren Old Fashioned Local filled with characters Just outside Wycombe town centre The Gordon as it's known by it's regulars mostly avoids the brawls & shenanigans associated with yobbo hangouts in the middle of town. Although their pints are a bit pricier, long time Landlord Pete Purkiss had a great reputation for how expertly he kept his beers. Unfortunately he had a severe stroke in 2005 so it remains to be seen if his exacting standards are maintained. This is a great place to meet some of life's real characters & put the world to rights by talking a load of old bollocks while enjoying a singularly good pint amid friendly company.
