Tug & Turbot
Swansea
Terrible PubRichard Moore
On the 28/05/2010 myself and my girlfriend visited this pub for a quiet drink at aroun 21.30pm. Upon entering the premises we were refused service by a member of staff who said they had a problem with their licence yet there were people drinking at the bar. However a correctly written letter to the tourist and commerce people will ensure thispub loses thousands of pounds in revenue. Richard Moore Bridgend 07575338684

Had a function here and their attitude and service was disgusting. They gave us nothing but abbuse and refused to put out the buffet that we had already paid for. They done the same at another party I went to before and in that one refused to pay a DJ and had him removed even though everybody was enjoying and had booked the DJ themselves. All in all avoid the place and the glamorgan arms which is run by the same family

friendly pub, nice atmospheresteve penlington
visted swansea on sat 5/9/09,at the marina called in for drink - chose from the lunch time menu,a hot chicken club bagette with bacon & cheese,my wife chose a hot panini of bacon & cheese, both very nice and delivered to the table by the friendly chef - also the girl behind the bar was also friendly and almost embarrassed about the extra charge for card payment. i would advise any one visiting swansea to walk around the marina and enjoy a bite to eat at the tug & turbot

What a DumpPeter Smith
The brewers need to have a good look to whom they are supply alcohol too. The land-lady couldnt manage a bag of crisps, so to leave her in charge of a Pub is beyond me.....ive been there once and that was once too many - not even sure where they got there license from! Think the Licensing Group need to pay her a visit after closing hours!!!! I'd rather drink in the sewers - it'll be alot cleaner.

I VISITED THIS PUB OUT OF THE BLUE AND FOUND IT TO BE THE MOST RUN DOWN BOOZER I HAVE EVER BEEN IN, THE MANAGER AND MANAGERESS WERE THE MOST UNPOLITE PEOPLE I HAVE COME ACROSS, UNLESS YOU LIKE TO SMELL THE WAFT OF CANNABIS AND WHATEVER DRUG THESE PEOPLE LET THE DRINKERS SMOKE IN THERE THEN PLEASE DONT GO IN, THE PLACE IS LIKE A RAT INFESTED HELL HOLE, AND THE LADY WHO WORKS THERE JUST DOESNT HAVE THE TIME OF DAY FOR ANYONE VISITING THE PUB, WELL SORRY TO SAY SHE CANNOT BE A LADY WITH THE FOUL AND ABUSE LANGUAGE THAT SHE WAS USING BEHIND THE BAR, THIS IS 1 PUB THAT WILL NEVER SEE MY CUSTOM AGAIN, AND I WOULD ADVISE ANY PERSON WHO LIKES TO ENJOY A NICE QUIET PINT TO STAY AWAY, MANY MORE BETTER PUBS IN SWANSEA THAN THAT 1

Rhyddings
Swansea
What a differnceNot great
This pub used to have such a nice atmosphere. From recently visiting, we had a long wait for food, and when it did eventully come out, it was staggerd, meaning not all of us eat at the same time. It was absolutely freezing in there, and the food is blue as ice aswell. Not a wise choice for a pub grub.

Probably one of the worst Pubs in Swansea, never got any beer half the time........the Licensee has not got a clue how to run a Pub, even though the same people have also got The Rhyddings, which has also gone downhill recently, perhaps they should concentrate on one Pub at a time.....

I wish to inform everyone of the accomplishments the managers of the wig have achieved. i am a local regular and have been visiting with my wife since the new managers took over (7/8 years) and they have turned the quiet pub into a lively one. id just like to congratulate them. the pub is popular all round and the food has become outstanding.

Wig & Pen
Swansea
the worst baguette everJohn White
What could possibly go wrong you may ask? Well the steak could be over cooked & tough. The onions could be under cooked & greasy. The baguette could be plastic, soggy and smelling faintly of fish. Add to this the indignity of plastic glasses if you wish to sit outside and you have all that is bad in the pub trade. I was asked if everything was alright, responded in a quite voice, 'I'm sorry no', and was ignored. A short lived but appalling experience and one not to be repeated.

Wig & Pen
Swansea
Tidy, foody, trendy (?)daveo
Now just 'The Wig'. In line with the pub trend that no one can cook to save their lives this boozer aims to serve up victuals to the starving masses, cushy drinking room is a mere afterthought. Your typical modern day foody pub, lots of big uncomfortable furniture, posh curtains and uneven floorboards. You're sorted if that's what butters your buns. Just ain't the comfy hovel it used to be.

Rhyddings
Swansea
Great food, good beers and great atmosphereYann
One of the best pubs I've had the luck to find myself in, as mentioned already for £3.95 you get a great meal, and the pub's a lovely, quiet affair. Good place to take the kids during the daytime, particularly impressive considering how close the pub is to the university. The staff are friendly and polite, the food is good, and the range of beers is decent. What's there not to like?

Your faithful wetherspoonsdaveo
From the west this is your first stop in town. Usual wetherspoons fair, the smell of double vodka red bull etc. Gets rammed in here most nights. Check it out on a week day afternoon if you want to meet the absolute cream of swansea's locals, ahem, ahem.

Rhyddings sits proudly at the top of the Brynmill area. Notorious for it's two bar arrangement, one for locals, one for students. No idea which is meant to be which mind. You can get a nice big meal here for just £3.95, beats the chippy across the road. Well played guys.

Mixed bag of a pub. Good range of affordable drinks available. Every Sky Sports Premiership game is shown which is nice. And the bar staff are the most attractive of any of the Brynmill and Uplands pubs. By the way, this pub is now called The Cricketers.
