About the Pub
A pub for all seasons with a beautiful riverside garden to enjoy in the sun, wood burning stoves for the colder nights in the winter months and always friendly staff on hand to welcome you to this family run pub. We are right on a cycle track that leads to the world renowned Afan Valley cycle routes. We have quirky but solid bunks that are chained through the rafters, comfortable matresses, a kit drying room and of course gallons of hot water for the well deserved shower after a hard day on the hills.
Phil Campbell
The pub was established in 1845 and there are lots of great unique things inside the pub like a section of the longest (one piece) railway track ever made in the 1800's which was made in the village the longest section went to the Crystal Palace Exhibition in 1851.Our piece holds up the ceiling in the restaurant!!
We are a Real Ale pub with 5 ales on at any one time and CAMRA are very pleased with what we are doing to promote a cracking pint.
Kaine Charles (manager)
Our menu's speak for themselves, on reading them you will feel your mouth watering. We change the menus seasonally ie Venision and Game in the winter months, Monkfish with Chorizo, spicey tomato and chick peas and salads in the summer (for example)
We have a piano which gets played spontaneously from visiting customers, the local choir pop in from time to time for a sing song and we have a great quiz on Sundays nights which are a great hoot!.With lots of functions throughout the year the Brit is not just a pub it's a destination.

Lovely atmosphere, great beer
Had a lovely lunch of faggots and peas, and tried a few of the lovely ales on offer too. Pelenna from the Borough brewery, and one of my old favourites Speckled Hen. Nice warm welcome from the staff. And they didn't mind us eating by the fire. If I didn't live so far away I would be back soon.
