Awful
Visited The Raggalds Inn 22 july 06. Mixed grill ordered. Steak to be medium rare. In fact the steak was fit only to sole shoes. The pork chop was so tough it was only with a great deal of effort and the steak knife that I was able to make any impression on it. The liver seemed to have been flash fried, the thing was running with blood, and pre-cooked as were the chips and the battered onion rings, and then the lot reheated in a microwave. The cips were soggy and grey as were the battered onion rings. The head waitress, I assumed that is what she was, when I described the food to her, in response to her asking if everything was all right went off in a huff. She later returned to the table and said to me, I'm not asking you again. I would like to point out that I was not at any time unpleasant or rude to her. As a trained cordon bleu cook and master of wine I think I know my food and wine. The Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon was served at almost boiling temperature and when I ordered a second bottle and asked for it to be chilled before being brought to the table I was looked at as though I was some alien being from outerspace, which I can assure you I am not . It was not an experience which I would wish to repeat and, if asked, I do not think I would be able to recommend it as a gourmet paradise
