Korky It's a cracking watering hole Bruce's salacious ales are second to none - such is the condition of it/them, I've seen a fresh on keg of beer run off in a day in there, and virtually nowt lasts longer than three/four days. He has some cracking bar staff to boot.
albert pikes grandson beercraft is bruce by any chance a freemason?. if so is there any chance of getting some masonic craft beer on 66 degree Thursday, October 11, 2012
i like the kings head it has got smashing beer and barmades i like to talk to them a lot and other people they are friendly
INCY WINCY SPIDER IN THE MONEY No such luck my friend for i am a house spider (Tegenaria) all the loot will be going to my nephew who is a money spider. still good to see Bruce is leaving things untidy and getting us loads of flies he really is an ideal flat mate.
congratulations mr wincy tpo of the film charts. youre in the money spider
Just another comment to congratulate the Kings head on serving probably the best kept beer in huddersfield if not further. Popped in mid week and had a pint of salopian lemon dream, the flavour and taste was superb and in all my drinking years have I seen a beer with so much clarity it was positivley sparking like a well cut diamond, perfect. Bruce takes pride in his beer spending a lot of time in the cellar, a much maliged craft cellar work but when done well produces amazing results. Well worth a visit from anyone wantig a fist class pint of beer
Its ok,But needs a Makeover inside,Bruce is Trying his Best i think here,Sandwiches are Good,Worth calling in if your awaiting Trains. Thursday, September 24, 2009
Bruce is an absolute star, I remember him years ago in the Rat attired in his watstcoat and western styled boots with silver points, he certainly made an impression. Now he has his own pub and still making an impression with the range an excellence of his beers, still wearing his impressive waistcoats, but can't see his boots behind the bar. Keep up the good work you are a star behind the bar!.
Found this pub two sundays ago, went last sunday to watch the band, and am intending to go every sunday from now on to watch the live bands.
Some good ales.
John MacMillan A friendly welcome I drop in every Friday whilst changing trains and am always well met by the staff. An excellent range of ales on tap with six or seven every week, including local brews. Thursday, December 8, 2005
