Silver Wedding
Rachel and John catered for our Silver Wedding and did a fantastic job. The feedback from all our Guests was very positive and the comfortable and well decorated dining room was the ideal setting.

If you have a specials occasion do not hesitate to give them a try

A word from the new owners
the Fitzherbert Arms has a long history of being a friendly and welcoming pub and with no exception that is how it continues. We have a wonderfully refurbished restaurant and the B&B rooms are country cottage style and all fresh and new! John (my other half) has a passion for his real ales and they are stored and served to perfection. We now cater for weddings and our quaint english country garden gives a stunning setting for photo's or chilling out on a warm summer evening. We have the most talented head chef who creates the most mouth watering dishes and we are just sitting back and waiting for your visit. Hope to see you soon.

Great food & wine, slow delivery
Party of 10, Sunday lunch, waited an hour for our starter, but it was worth waiting for. Nice dining room with plenty of space and convivial atmosphere.

the fitzherbert arms
i recently stayed at the fitzherbert arms in the b&b facilities, which are furnished to a high standard the landlady gina is a delightful person and nothing was to much trouble for her . The chefs at the fitz offer a top quality menu The food is delicious with ample portions So if you are on a diet beware!! overall there is a friendly relaxed atmosphere throughout the bar / restaurant. i will definatley be returning very soon, and i hope that gina will have a very long and happy reign over the premises

No problems !!
I would just like to say that I and my family are regular visitors to The Fitzherbert Arms. We have always left the pub either after a meal or just a few drinks and enjoyed every second of it with the welcoming smile from all members of staff and landlady Gina.As a local i have never heard any complaints about anything and have never ever come away unsatisfied. So i would say to anyone that if they fancy good food or just a drink then the Fitz is where you should go !!

Well Done the Fitzherbert
My husband and I are in our forties and having no children frequent the Fitzherbert Arms regularly.

I agree with the previous commentator, the pub offers outstanding value for money and excellent service. If the 50's couple had a bad time it can only be down to their own attitude as in my experience Gina the licensee and her staff are unfailingly polite and welcoming to the many many customers they serve.

I have heard from a number of people about the appalling conduct of the group on that night and quite frankly we are all so glad they have no intention of returning as they would be far from welcome. Having said that I would urge one and all to try the Fitzherbert for themselves - (the Sunday accoustic night particularly) to get a proper impression of what the Fitzherbert is all about, warm welcome and great value .

Great food and staff
As a resident of Swynnerton I visit the Fitzherbert regularly, one of the big attractions being the food, you can enjoy a really great Pub meal for 5, or if you want to push the boat out you can dine in the restaurant with main courses upto 20, the food regardless of it's position on the menu is always of a really high standard and the service great.

I was unfortunate to be on the table next to the people who posted the previous comments, they must be proffesional complainers, and if they knew anything about food would understand the constraints of cooking a blue steak direct from the fridge. The behaviour of the group was unacceptable and the only thing wrong was that they were not asked to leave the restaurant.

The staff and mangement at the Fitzherbert really do make a big effort to please all customers, i would recommend the pub to anyone looking for a good night out.

Regards

Phil

manageress lacking in manner to customers
My husband and I are in our mid fifties. This is only the second time in our life that we have ever walked out of a restaurant. (The first time was years ago in France when we waited over an hour and a half with young children for the starter.) Four of our party ordered duck for starter. This was off so we chose something else. Most wines ordered were off as well. My husband ordered a blue steak. He was asked to sign a disclaimer about wanting a blue steak! When it came the steak was well done. Another of our party ordered a steak which also not done as he requested and he returned it. The manageress, Genna was so rude to him when he apologised that it was not as he requested. I said that she was rude to my husband and she should apologise. She refused and I have never been in a restaurant with such a rude manageress. I am disgusgusted with her attitude and will never go there again and and will tell everyone in the surrounding villages of our experience. I hope that not just people thinking of eating there will rethink their plans but that the owners will take this woman to task about her unacceptable attitude.
