Gordon Rix Usual good standard I am looking forward to my stay at the Boathouse in July 2012. There are no doubts at all, that the food and accomodation will be up to it's usual good standard. To compliment the latter, Carol & Tony, I'm sure will be their usual welcoming selves and put themselves out to make my stay very pleasent.
In my last comment on the 7th July, a return stay was predicted. I am pleased to say that on the weekend of the 20th August, such an event happened. This time, my comments can be up graded, no faults can be found and despite Carol & Tony always being busy, they still radiated the friendly and welcoming attitude towards guests. Although I could soon become part of the furniture, I am not only treated as a guest but as an old friend. No matter where I go in Derbyshire, if possible, the Boathouse Inn will always be the place I rest my head.
My partner and i stayed at the Boathouse on 24-27th July, the room was very clean with en-suite and tea and coffee making facilities.Carole and Tony are very welcoming the meals were very filling and reasonably priced the atmosphere in the pub was really good on Saturday night as it was Karaoke. Have already booked again for September. Would definately recommend to friends.
I first visited the Boathouse Inn was during October 09. The location was suitable for my needs as was the accommodation. The meals were satisfying with regards to their size, variety, quality and value for money. A warm, helpfull and friendly customer relationship was radiated by Carol & Tony . All of this prompted me to assure them of a repeat stay. This i will be doing in August 2010.
me and my husband stayed at the boathouse very friendly excellent food definetly going back soon superb
My colleagues and i eat lunch her regularly and the food is good value only beaten by the lovely atmosphere, real fire and very friendly staff. Thanks in particular to Tony and Carol the owners Wednesday, December 23, 2009

the boathouse was at the time being run by a holding company called GI holdings,This company did not give a damn about value for money nor the customers or staff. It has since changed hands and new tennants are now running it, try again and see if you now get value for money
me and my wife had a meal on sunday 5th.04.09 at the boat house inn.we had three adults and a childs witch with 3 pints came to 38 pounds wich i thought was a bit expencive. but the thing is that the plate size for an adult is the same size as a child. i myself could not get what i wanted on my plate because of the size of it .plus there was no stuffing. with the plate size i have paid 12 pound to much . to sum it up it was very poor value for money.
