About the Pub
This pub on the outskirts of the town centre could do with a little TLC in the lighting department. It does have a couple of benches outside the front but, unfortunately, there is not much of a view.

Luke
My old local.
This pub was my local when I lived in Preston for 18 months from 2011-13. Whilst it needed a bit of restoration, it had a good atmosphere and open mic nights on a Monday were always a good laugh. One poster says there isn't much of a view, however I would disagree-the pub is at the top of an incline and looks across at St Walburga's Church-surely the most distinctive building in Preston.

LOOKING FOR RUSSELL JONES
Does anyone remember Russell Jones who went in the welly to watch the live bands. Russell was a construction engineer from down south but lived in Preston for a while back in the early 90's.
Russell also went in the Wheatsheaf.
Russ left Preston in 91 to go back home down south.
I appreciate any help

Would agree that this is one of the citys finest venues for 'avin a pint'. Class beer, nice barmaids and better than the thurlby hands down. Kief rating low at min but Cougar pretty high at a wk'end!!

Yes Yes Right Now Yes
This is one of the best watering holes in the city and it beats its neighbours hands down, especially the thurlby club. The beer has just increased in price, however, and they have stopped 1 a pint Thursdays so there's still room for improvment. It gets a low Kief rating too.
