...
@Lauren: I saw an advert for bar staff, the owner is Lee Thompson.

I actually called up to apply for the job, the woman who answered asked me to hold on for a second then started screaming at one of the staff over a trivial problem.

I asked twice what time would Mr Thompson would be back, the angry fool did not reply, instead she told me to call when he was back.

I don't recommend drinking or working here.

Beer Festival Scam
Went to the Beer Festival and bought 10 of tokens (minimum amount), had a couple of pints and went for a refund. They don't offer refunds on unused tokens. Their was no written or verbal warning and they were most unhelpful. I won't be going back.

eccentric = real
I am a regular at this pub and love it for the eccentricity (like getting carrots with fish & chips). This is a pub that has not been infected with the trappings of modern customer service (where everyone smiles, regardless of the mood their in). Sometimes everything runs smoothly and sometimes there is crisis and panic. The people are 'real'. The food is really good most of the time and they sort it out if it's noit. All products are brought locally so they help keep local business alive. Oh, and if you live locally and suffer a bereavement, it is widely believed that if you haven't had the wake at the sea view, you haven't had a proper send off!!

Pants .....
Never had Fish chips and carrots before(they dont do peas?) , and if they ask you if you want veg or salad with your fish , you dont get chips !!! So pick carefully.
Also worth trying their apple crumble with no crumble

Leyland Round Table
We made arrangements to meet there for a meal at 9:00pm on Thursday, after their usual serving time. Found them to be most accommodating. However, we turned up late (sorry!) and yet the meal was excellent. Good beers and a good night had by all in attendance.

We'll be back and hopefully on time!

Lovely meal Sat Sept 27th 2008
We went for a meal to the Sea View Inn in Chorley on Sat. 27th Sept. 2008 and the pub was extremely friendly, efficient friendly staff and a lovely meal. I had Lamb Henry and it was delicious, the rest of the party were really pleased with their meals. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Well kept beer
The only thing I noticed about it was that the beer was well kept and had a good selection. Other than that, brilliant !

whats in a name?
So go on, please tell me - how many red cats are there knocking about pubs with the same name? ditto how many bay horses, golden lions, eagles with children, and how many oak trees did Charles actually hide up?

I love the Sea View
Yes you can see the sea, at Southport - if you look in that direction ! The Sea View is one of the best pubs in the area, the food is excellent and the staff seem friendly, especially the owners! To be recommended to everyone!

Village of the Damned
I must admit, it is some time since I've been here but from what I hear, it hasn't changed. Everyone goes quiet if a stranger walks in, and it feels as if everyone of them is staring at you. Wierd.
