Ok, friendly
New staff and proprietors - friendly. Bit pricey and quiett and agree decor average but now ok for family meal, few drinks and telly. Have been a couple of times recently. Nice, quiet out of the way. It's all about expectations really. If you want a real ale pub or a kicking disco you wouldn't go here. But then as somewhere handy with football (without louts) can't grumble

What A Dump
Had been here before (about 3 years ago) and had found it OK - what a change - now it's as bad as some of the above have mentioned, the Landlord and Landlady shouldn't be in the business, ignorant and loudmouthed, and the Landlord isn't much better!

Steer clear and find a pub where the owners are glad of your business and hard earned money, if I want to see drunken louts I'll go on the Promenade at Blackpool.

Ex-Regular pubs gone to dogs
I have been a regular at The Falcon for over 10 years (living just around the corner) and find it very sad to see these negative comments on your website. Whats sadder still is that I have to agree with them, the Pub has over the last few months gone from bad to worse, and I have stop going there now as the customers that they want to encourage are NOT the type of people I want to be associated with - this includes the attitude the the current Landlord and Landlady (Lady?) - Once a great family friendly pub has now become a place to avoid!

This must be one of the most unfriendly pubs in Lancashire, My wife is an invalid and wheelchair bound suffering from Arthritis. Last year we went to the pub for a Folk night, which was fantstic and raising money for arthritis research, a cause close to our hearts. This year we called in to see if similar nights were being held, to be told that they were the new landlords and they'd thrown out the bunch of folkies that were doing the nights, because they had asked for TV be turned down during football matched as people were trying to sing and listen to the music.

When I asked where, if anywhere , they had moved to I was told in no uncertain terms where I could go as well!

If anyone knows where the Folk Nights are being held now please email me as I would love to go along and support these people who have done so much for Arthritis research (they quoted they had raised over 5,000.00 by running folk sessions.

The pub - didn't stay long enough to comment and won't be going back to find out - Disgusted

Not so good
If you like expensive drinks, less atmosphere than the moon and cafe like surroundings - you'll love it!

Wish had found this website before going it would have saved me a trip.

Not a friendly country pub
In my job I have to travel around the country and visit many public houses, I called in The Falcon whilst working in Blackpool, hoping to find a nice little country Pub with a friendly clientelle and staff.

I'm sad to say this didn't happen, the night I was their I whitnessed a veral controntation between what I thought was a drunken woman and some ofthe few people in the pub, the language and manner of this woman was to say the least, uncalled for, but put down to her drunken state - it transpired later that the drunk was the Landlady.

The pub was vertually deserted and although looked very nice has obviously been driven free of locals by the atitude of the Landlady, relying on passing trade such as myself, who are unaware - I am now and won't be back.

Beer, OK but DEAR, didn't indulge in food, atmosphere POOR, surroundings (Decor) FAIR/GOOD

Recommendation STEAR CLEAR

Not so good - upset stomach
called in for a meal and a pint (or two) whilst visiting Blackpool. Pub looked alright but maybe I should have guessed that they might be a problem by the lack of customers!

More like a cafe than a pub just missing the plastic tab le cloths, and although everything looked clean I spent the next day in th loo with a bad stomach. Won't be going back again looks like a lot of others feel the same.
