not recommended
We have visited this pub many times but will not be going again. Last week they had no house red wine, blaming the delivery driver. On asking for coffee, we were told the machine had broken down but we could have instant instead but they still charged the same price. Then we asked if we could have a jacket potato instead of chips, answer -No. Needless to say we didn't order food and left after finishing our drinks. The staff could not have cared less.

Dear readers
Dear readers i would not entertain this pub at all there staff are rude and stand there talking about you and the locals sit there and mock people. in the eyes of the manager he is always right not the customer.
also there is no ghost it was a made up story so the pub would get more custom

The best Sunday lunch around
My family and I have visited this pub on a regular basis for the sunday roast and I must say it is the best value and nicest sunday meal I have ever had in the Fyld coast area and I have lived her 40 years. I find the Landlord & Landlady to be most friendly & welcoming and cannot believe the comment from Mrs Kelloware. If things were so bad why did she go back?!!!

Haunted
I have been to the Eagle and child on many occasions and heard the stories about it being haunted. On my last visit to the pub i witnessed an encouter with the ghost, i think the ghost answered to the name of Murph and sometimes after midnight you can hear him moaning at the bar and scaring away the other customers due to the feeling that he's hanging off their shoulders. Sometimes the ghost talks so much peoples ear's have been known to bleed, ive heard some people say that they think he was an old highway robber from London and when the lights go out from round the floor by the bar a spooky voice can be heard calling Help me up geezer!
Overall this adds to the excitement and overall pleasure of being a customer at the eagle and child.
