the arts are important for health and happyness
Imagine a space were we can escape the stress of modern living and relax in a multi cultural enviroment of cultural exchange?
This is where I find myself whenever I visit the Continetal Pub in the heart of the city of Preston, but nicly tucked away on the edge, that it is cosy as well.

keeps getting better!
Fantastic beer choice at rreasonable prices, great food (with very big mains portions so if you are prepared to shaare it is actually very cheap!), and a real cultural hub these days with all sorts of music and arts events. Plus the best place by far to sit out on a nice day anywhere in the city!

What a shame. Not fora Special Occasion.
Booked 2 weeks beforehand for Mother's Day and travelled over with 2 young children from Manchester. Our table was reserved but we were not provided with menus until we asked (1/2 hr after our arrival). In all, we waited for 1 hr 10 mns for our starters from arrival although we were all starving!. What a nightmare! Our mains also had a prolonged arrival. The food was actually great but the restaurant staff seemed stressed. I spoke to the manageress who was an interesting character, about our poor dining experience. She would not offer an apology, was insincere and very frustrating to speak to. My dad really enjoyed the choice of beers on offer and complimented the friendly bar staff but the restaurant service was terrible and managed by an individual who seemed unwilling to take responsibility for the shortcomings in the service. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

Preston needs this pub!
This pub oozes quality.

The food is not mass produced pub grub, it is easily worth the price.

The beers are always in top condition. Massive range of foreign bottled beers. The management team certainly know what they're doing.

Relaxed atmosphere. No pool tables, fruit machines etc. Twice-yearly beer festivals (proper beer festivals with free admission).Dogs allowed in the snug.

Can't praise it highly enough.

Top Pub
Finally Preston has a pub which excels in every department.

Food is absolutely delicious. The bottled beer range is mind-blowing. Cask beers are exactly how theyshould be. (Old Black Bull take note, they should not taste of vinegar).

Best pub in Preston by a very huge amount of daylight.

excellent all round
Well I am delighted to say that finally we have a great pub in a lovely spot. The food is good with a fine selection and choice of drink. Most importantly, there is somewhere to go with live entertainment. and the Jazz on Bank Holiday Monday was an outright success. The snug was newly opened and bursting at the seams with people relaxing and enjoying the tunes. Warren and Knoxy are the perfect bar tenders catering to your every need. I highly recommend it for a great night out.
