Sophie An excellent experience I have eaten here with family and friends on several occasions and I have never left disappointed. The food is excellent with plenty of choice and the prices are reasonable too. Service has always been prompt and the waitresses always do their best to ensure that you have an enjoyable time. I would recommend it to anyone.
Ms Tasha Mcdermott King Herod would luv it. this pub is a disgrace and is not child friendly and should be shut down. there was no hoigh chair or suitable toys to entertain children it was like going back in time.

Fay - Get over yourself! Your seven month old baby is under 14 and NOT allowed in. As for your ridiculous comment about OAPs, I think you'll find that the retirement age is well above the minimum drinking age and therefore makes your arguement completely invalid. Friday, September 14, 2012
Fay any response where are you taking your bratt?

any feed back Fay ? it seems that u popular opinion does not favour u. Sunday, September 2, 2012
Anybody who thinks its okay to take their children to a public house are irresponsible idiots. The staff at the Fruiterers are paid to serve adult customers. It is not a childrens playground full stop. Saturday, September 1, 2012
Paul It's Oh So Quiet ------- Love it tme and the mrs use this pub all the time great to be able to relax and chat with friends without having to listen to crying babies and snotty nosed spoilt chav kids.
We had our christening party meal here 12th Aug 2012 the service was excellant. Thank you to all the staff for making a day to remember and the food was fab. Thursday, August 16, 2012

Fay Griffiths Discriminatory? I Visited The Fruiteres Arms pub this afternoon with friends and my 9 month old son and was shocked to hear and I quote, they Don't 'do' children! So our whole party had to sit in the garden despite the rain clouds! This is 2012! And it was a Thursday lunch time! How old fashioned and short sighted! I wonder how people would feel if they went somewhere that didnt 'do' OAPs!! They will now miss out on any future custom and believe me I will be spreading the word! I also found the older female bar staff blunt and rude and the menu completely overcomplicated! Simply unacceptable, had I not been in a party of people I would have left in disgust! Mrs Valerie Pugh More information Great to see the comments about the pub & food etc. What about some more information about whats on at the pub. I looked at the web site to find out about your evening on 5th April Dinner Wine & Entertainment Evening Wednesday, February 22, 2012
What a lovely restaurant. Visited there for the first time at the end of November then went again a few weeks ago. Food was very good and huge portions so really good value for money. Love the fact no children are allowed. Now I'm not against children, I was a childminder for fifteen years ... But well done to the owners for sticking to there rules. I'm sure they get a lot of repeat custom knowing you can have a meal without children either running around or moaning at the table because their bored. That's why we have places like the bobbing apple that have dedicated play areas. Friendly staff, great food, clean and inviting environment. What more could you ask for.
The freshly prepared and cooked dishes may mean you wait a little longer to eat but it's well worth it for the excellent value this friendly (and child-free) pub provides. Can't praise it more highly (and the sweets are inexpensive indulgencies !). Thursday, August 25, 2011
Mark Wood The Best I've been to! The Fruiterers Arms is just the best pub I have been to... The service was excellent... The grillstone steak was just outstanding and such good portions of food. All cooked to order and fresh. The dessert choice was good too. And all home made. Well done guys, Highly recommended!!
We always enjoy eating at the Fruiterers Arms. The staff are very friendly, the 2 chaps who own the pub are very chatty, welcoming and friendly. he food is very good. Huge portions, well cooked. Very clean surroundings with a good ambience. Saturday, July 17, 2010 Rating: No rosettes
Use this pub for lunch often. Very good......good to find a place that DOESNT allow kids.
Tony Rose Excellent Menu-Great Food! Very nice surroundings Lovely Kentish Village
Helen herbert Don't take children...what an insult! What sort of pub these days refuses to allow children? I went to this pub with my Mum and 1 year old daughter on Friday 7th May only to be turned away as soon as we arrived. We were told that the pub didn't accept children anywhere on it's premises. As a result, I will certainly never recommend this pub and never go again even without children. How shortsighted of the owners as the family market must be very lucrative. Discrimination I believe as well!! Saturday, May 8, 2010 Rating: No rosettes

Yvonne V. Rains Disappointment at recent visit Although I have been to the fruiterers arms many times and always had my favourite meal: Salmon Royale. On Saturday 20 th the special seafood sauce was very disappointing as it was so terribly thin and runny. Although I commented to the waitress, she was not at all bothered. On previous occasions the proprietor (or one of them) has always been most interested in whether meals were satisfactory, I guess he must have been on day off on this occasion. We love it here - always great food and chirpy staff. Full of locals but they are always welcoming - is very popular in the village. If you like it here, you'll love The Plough and Harrow too (is in Oad Street). Tough choice to put one my favourite. Friday, December 23, 2005
Tracey Brampton Lovely Grub! we go to the Fruiteres for our christmas meal every year, and the food has always been to a very high standard, and the staff there are friendly and polite.
Only thing is you need to book real early as bookings go fast. Thursday, December 15, 2005
Richard W.Freeman An excellent Pub in all respects This Pub has an excellent restaurant and also serves bar meals from an extensive and outstanding menu. The service was first class and the quality of food both in terms of presentation and quality was outstanding. We will have no hesitation in returning to eat at The Fruiterers whenever we are in the locality. Saturday, November 19, 2005
