Just thought I'd better give credit to possibly the best pub I've been to in a while.
I normally drink at Luckies and have done foe many years, started getting bored and fancied a change of scenery.
Tried all the pubs on the way to The Polwarth Tavern but have to say it was the one I was impressed by most.
Now I make the 30 min walk at least 3/4 times a week
The 2 guys that have taken over from the old days are great behind the bar and with all theat they offer this is definately worth a look.
New management - they are exactly what the neighbourhood needs! I went in for my drink as usual and found the staff to be better than ever before - the new manager took time to speak to everyone and listen to their thought and has promised to take some action to improve the pub. Matt King This place is garbage What a joke, I mean its the closet pub to where I live and its a good enough bar, what with its new and rustic interior but the staff are complete losers. Went into to watch some football on a pretty quiet night and the manager wouldn't put the commentary on for the live game. Instead he insisted on playing us his favourite music: the spice girls, what a tool. Promotions are pretty good but the guy in charge thought he was big-time charlie brown, turns out however he's not! Dont go for the atmposphere as it has none. Loura Pub ok, casuals, no thanks! This pub has added some interest to the neighbourhood, but the events of last Saturday, at 7 pm, when there was a near-riot of football casuals are beyond the pale. If you continue to have drinks promotions and keep pushing football, football, football, you (I should say WE, as a community) are going to have more of the same. Your apology to your customers is nice - when are you going to apologise to the neighbourhood and what are your plans to prevent this happening again? Tuesday, January 10, 2006 Rating: rosettes

another neighbour to be fair its a good pub though and adds much more to the area than its predecessor!! Thursday, August 11, 2005
arrrggghhhh sleepless in polwarth The noise from the pub when it's open is bad enough but the noise from the faulty burglar alarm which went off between 5 and 6 am this morning (and this isn't the first time) is even worse . Thursday, August 11, 2005 Rating: No rosettes
irritated neighbour another complaint After suffering weeks from the dreadful noise coming from this pub ever since it re-opened, I have nothing good to say about it. I wish it would shut and leave us all in peace ! Despite warnings from the council and a visit from the police, they continued to keep working folk awake into the early hours - that just shows how much they care about people. Now they have had a final warning with their licence cut short - maybe they will listen now.... Saturday, July 9, 2005 Rating: No rosettes
I am sick fed up of being kept awake by the constant banging, satellitte noise, people out on the street. There has been letters written to Sue Trichton, the Council and the Police about this from neighbours. No doubt there will be more. if nothing is done about this the cable will be pulled as there is no Planning permission so I led to believe. Monday, May 23, 2005 Rating: No rosettes
