Pheasant, Chesham, Buckinghamshire

Now in my 18th year here - the whole pub industry has lost many small locals due to the recession and yet somehow I've managed to survive! Last year saw the wooden gazebo installed (the new smoking shelter) complete with fairy lights and heating. Also new upholstery indoors and some nice garden furniture too. Latest news is the redecoration of the loos - long overdue - and if we have another good summer then there will be more investment to brighten everything else. However, the best thing about this pub is the friendliness of customers and staff - always happy to welcome new friends!

We are delighted to announce the very successful installation of a Pool table. Despite the smoking ban and now the doom and gloom of a recession, the Pool table is a great source of entertainment and amusement. Designed to be easily relocated for party nights or darts matches, it has quickly become a popular feature.

Traditional pub with high standards and a reputation for great beer. Dog and child friendly (as long as they are well behaved and under control!), well supported by locals. Occasional litter of quality GSDs; an event looked forward to by most regulars who get to help with the socialisation of the puppies from an early age until they go to their new homes at 8 weeks old. We have high standards for cleanliness and conduct.
