About the Pub
Guest Ales and Boddingtons are served at this centrally located pub. Traditional dishes are served in an attractive surrounding with an extensive specials board, which changes weekly for those who want to treat themselves. The dessert menu has a wide selection including “hot chocolate fudge cake.” The White Bull is a 17th century Grade II listed building. Ribchester itself has an impressive Roman heritage and is a popular place for a day out. It sits on the banks of the River Ribble and was the site of a Roman fort. Outside the front door there are four columns which are thought to have possibly been part of a Roman temple. The pub has three en-suite bedrooms available. There is a beer garden and children’s play area at the rear. There is an impressive view of the Roman Bathhouse from the beer garden. .

Rubbish
We have eaten here a few times and always been disappointed. On many occasions we have asked for one thing and something totally different turns up with a message from an embarrassed waitress sorry we didn't have any of what you ordered left. As with the chief’s attitude, well it’s like he has got a split personality, I watched him with some customers who were obviously regulars. He just seemed to blank them one minute then try to be all friendly the next. I don't think his business can last with an attitude like that........

Turned away
Visited a friend in Ribchester intending to eat at the White Bull, upon parking our car we were accosted by a member of staff seemingly employed specifically to challenge anyone parking in their carpark as to our intent to frequent their pub. Their tone was such that we moved the car and ate at the excellent Ribchester Arms instead.

Great atmosphere!
We dropped in for lunch last week. The food was excellent, the beer was cool and the service most friendly. Say hi to my cousin Roger Dolphin, we missed him that day.

Excellent food and service
Ribchester is one of our favourite walking places and we always end our day with a meal at the White Bull. The food is excellent and the service is always swift and friendly. Just what two weary, and often wet, hikers need!

Good grub
We ate in The White Bull last weekend with some friends who were over from Miami. Good grub was had by all and a good pint of Boddies too! However the friendliness of the Landlord and Landlady stood out the most. They made us feel most welcome. We'll be back soon!
