 Excellent Pub.
This is a small pub with a recent extension inside and probably one of the best designed beer gardens in London. It's also the first pub in the UK to have a 3D TV in its garden and has another 3 inside. Ideal for a sports venue. Staff are very friendly with Noel (landlord)and Emma, his partner treating you the way a customer should be treated. Prices are reasonable and the locals are brilliant. All in all, the best pub in Brentford so treat yourself you to that well earned drink in a beer garden that has just about everything.

Great Thai food that's also cheap, a wide range of British draught beers, Belgian and German draught and bottles galore.

One bar only yes, but so what?

Children welcome although the pub does not cater for them

Mr H F Botha
My favourite pub in the area
The Town Wharf is modern pub located in the historic Old Isleworth with great views of the river. It is a Sam Smith's pub which means good beers at very reasonable prices.

For those who like comfortable, classy, surroundings with a no smoking area and without loud music, this is the ideal watering hole. The food menu is not large but very well prepared and reasonably priced. Their speciality is the fish which of which different varieties can be selected and prepared to your taste. They also serve a very tasty Sunday roast.

The atmosphere is friendly and there is a lovely outside terrace with views over the Isleworth Ait for an al fresco outing in summer.

This pub comes highly recommended!

Advertised recently (Shortly The Bull Bar will be introducing THE INDIAN MENU)
This is a great big pub with a friendly & happy crowd.

 What a shame
After frequenting the Barmy for a number of years, I was very dissapointed by the rudeness and unnessecary behaviour I received at 4pm on New Years day 06.

A simple misunderstanding with my order, I received a pint of Lime and Cider (Strange combination), rather than lime and soda.

The attitude and demand for payment of an unrequested item was completely unnecessary and I left feeling incredibly disapointed. What a shame. I frequent this pub often and do not expect to be treated so rudely and spoken to so aggresively. Certainly not heckled at by the man in charge (I presume) when we left.

Please speak slowly and clearly when placing an order.

 The Local
The pub has had a bit of a revamp recently and looks a lot cleaner.

There are 2 pool tables which are as a previous person has noted are occupied by Mike (who is pi**sed all the time) and Rani.

There are also 3 fruit machines. The food is Indian and run by a Pakistani chain. It is cheaper than most other restaurants in the area.

The Land Lady is friendly enough which is more can be said for her new staff. Always in a mood! An annoying thing about this place is the way they play Indian music at full blast in half the Pub and Mainstream in the other. If your in the middle it's a killer.

A Local
 The Local Pub
A very local pub, Not a place I would go for a night out, too small and smokey. They try and have disco's and live bands but its far too small for this. The food is not so good either and very highly priced for what you get. A good cook would'nt go a miss in this place. Owners could have a better welcomeing for their punters not much to smile about in here.

The best pub I have been to.
Now that the pub has been redone it is fantastic. Great beer and food are matched by the great music and staff. Best food I have ever eaten in a pub and most restaurants. Went there on a Tuesday and they were doing a whole roast pig in the garden. A must visit.

 Best Pub in Brentford
A wonderful 'locals' pub with best kept beer in the area. The best value for money as far as food is concerned. The onwers are lovely, the bar staff are friendly. There is music five nights of the week and a pub quiz. Pool table, sport on the tele.

 Good local pub
A firm favourite for Brentford fans this one. It gets packed out on match days but during the week and non game weekends it is a good place to come for a couple of pints and a catch up with mates before moving on to somewhere more lively.
Wednesday, February 23, 2005Rating: rosettes

Cosy pub, great for sports fans
Changed it's name to Captain Morgans now. Still a firm Celtic favourite. They show ALL the football/rugby games and horse racing during the day.

The fireplace adds a cosy feel to the pub and the small patio out the back which overlooks the Thames is great in the summer.

A lack of real ale is the only real downside.
Wednesday, February 23, 2005Rating: rosettes

 Warm Welcome
Looks great from the outside, and the welcome is warm and the beer is of good quality.
They do have a dartboard and semi-regular sing songs though so cant be all bad!

 Small and friendly
This small community pub is a fine place to stop off for a pint and a read of a good book or the paper. The pub comprises of one relatively small room. A quiet juke box and a fruit machine are the entertainment options.

Super friendly locals will make you feel at home.

A great pub for Real Ale Fans
A small and dimly lit pub. But don't let that put you off, the landlord clearly puts his effort into the cellar and the real ale is some of the finest and well kept of any pub in West London. There is also a bar-billiards table at the back. Legendary.

 Great Venue
A Fullers house with a well kept cellar and an excellent landlord and staff team. Not the cheapest pub in the area but if you enjoy the traditional english pub with a good atmosphere and relaxed surroundings it is worth a visit.

Many have been called - most have decided to stay!

 Go here!
Really lovely, beautifully decorated pub with a friendly atmosphere. It is family run and does great food. It has a screen tv but it does not intrude on the pub as whole. Fantastic in the summer, especially with it's proximity to beautiful Teddington Loch on the Thames river.

 Best Local Pub Around
Great Guinness and other ales, low ceilings and open fires make this a perfect place for a cosy winter drink out. In the Summer the large play area makes this a great outdoor weekend pub for all the family. Real olde world charm, with some great history. Located in the Hamlet of Hatton, very close to Hatton Cross Tube station.

 A touch of nostalgia
Many a pint of ale have I enjoyed at Tide End Cottage including the last one in 1968 when I emigrated to Canada where I remain to this day.I lived on Kingston Rd and fished Teddington Lock frequently, taking other pleasures at The Angler's and of course Tide End. Thank you for great memories. Happy New YEAR.

 touch of nostalgia
In 1968 I quaffed my last pint of ANGLER'S ale from my own reserved mug. I then emigrated to Canada where I remain to this day
I lived close by on Kingston Rd. I have precious memories of Teddington Lock, Tide End Cottage and of course THE ANGLER'S. I am so pleased that all has survived.
Happy New Year and Thanks for the memories.

 Nice old fashioned pub
This is a very traditional pub, no juke box, no fag machine, no one armed bandit. Just very good real ale, and a few lagers for those that can't handle the good stuff. Interesting conversation and company. Probably the best pub in the whole wide world. (But let's keep that as our secret!)

 Give this one a miss!
I agree with the other poster - this pub is, well - not even a pub. If fight club is more your style then you are in luck. Items get stolen, beer taste fowl along with a rude manager - horrible.

 Dis rub-a is kickin'
I love chillin' with my homies in this fine establishment. I is seen as being the main man in this pub despite the ridiculous lack of attention I pay to my barnet and general appearance. The beer is watered down and there is about as much ambience as your average abatoire BUT most people are incapable of playing pool so it makes me look like a real pro.

Good friendly pub with a mixture of ages ans races. Great Indian food. Two busy pool tables (if you can ever get Mike and Rani off). Barmaid looks like my mates brother, but i'd still give her one given half the chance!!! Overall a good pub to chill with your mates

 Bar Flies
I am a high flying executive that works on the Great West Road, I have been to The Globe on several occasions and there always seems to be the same two blokes up the bar clicking their fingers and demanding services, one admittedly is worse than the other, think one has a French sounding surname if that any help! I would like to congratulate the staff at The Globe for their excellent customer services skills in dealing with these very unsavoury characters !!

 Brentford's best kept secret!
Absolutely wonderful, particularly if you enjoy a good Fullers ale/ beer. Reasonable live music several nights a week (folk-soul, southern american jazz, 30s/40s tunes on the piano) and a ready supply or pork scratchings behind the bar. :)

Should be top of the list for anyone new to Brentford's plentiful pub scene.
