Met the new owner a few weeks back, has really good ideas to transform a pub that is absolutely georgeous and he will have his work cut out reclaiming a good repuation but a lovely family guy who is polite and courteous to customers and it would be good to support a lovely old pub... He gets it right and it will be fabulous... to include live music for his customers taste...and he is very knowledgable about food also....

 Great Food & Service
Was a bit dubious in going to this pub but apparently it has a different manager and must say cannot fault. 4 of us went Sat night, we had booked a table and after a quick drink at bar the table was ready for us. Staff and service was first class and the food was fantastic.. Definetly recommend to everyone!!

 Dislexic staff
Ordered a meal and specified boiled potatoes: they served chips. Paid second visit, again asked for boiled potatoes, again got chips!
Used to be well run pub. Not any more!
Avoid like the plague.

 Great food - lunch menu
The Green Dragon is a perfect place to chill after work; itís clean and tastefully decorated. Lovely back garden. The bar is small but even at its busiest hour you will get served within 3-5 minutes. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Set lunch menu £7.95 for 2 course meal is a bargain, all food is cooked fresh, the meat is sourced from an award winning north Yorkshire supplier. I just love the busy atmosphere of the pub while enjoying a perfectly cooked steak and a glass of Malbec.
I strongly recommend this pub for after work drinks, or a business lunch!
Decent service, honestly priced & quality food, good choice of wine and beer - what else could you be looking for?

 Visit last month
Pretty much a chav hang out, lots of push chairs and Argos jewellery on display. Place could do with a clean. Beer disapointing not well looked after, pipes need cleaning, staff had attitude and didn't really know much about running a pub, toilets unpleasant. Not surprised the wetherspoon nearby is getting all the customers. It's a shame because this is a good location and a good manager could make this a good place.
Unless you shop at iceland, don't bother.

An exceptionally long wait for average food. Incredibly slow and very rude staff - and it wasn't even that busy! If I hadn't paid at the bar I wouldn't have. A definite black list on my books...

 We had a great time
We had our son's Naming Day at the Green Dragon. We found that variety and quality of the buffet, the frendly professionalism of the staff and superb location all halped to make his day extra special. It would have been hard to beat and we would highly recommend this venue.

 Pub Meals
Whilst visiting Barnet last week, I called in to Ye Olde Monken Holt for a meal. Excellent cuisine, served by friendly staff, and the price was VERY reasonable.

A nice old boozer where various members of the Enfield Rock elite can be seen relaxing with a pint and a roll up.

Zimmer frames in the loo, sing songs and pints of mild. What more could a chap want?

 From a Regular
The Woolpack has only changed hands once since i started frequenting this very popular pub about 10 years ago. The Atmosphere is very open and friendly, with very low prices. Recently had a slight Renovation, its still got its class but with a slight modern approach, Now serving food with a full menu up till 8 pm.

This local and freindly pub is a must for the local traveller or couple visiting the area.

 Pleasant smoke-free pub
We had a great lunch here with very fast service for a couple of people who were rushing off. If you don't smoke, the smokefreeness is just great. This is a pretty and pleasant pub in a nice corner, surprisingly close to the motorway - beats service stations hands down!!

 This pub is very unfriendly.
I was extremely disappointed after reading good reviews. This pub is the worst I have ever been in. I felt I was gatecrashing their space. Unlike the slogan outside that states a warm welcome and customers leave wanting to come back. I think not, avoid this pub at all costs.

Great little pub, not too small but not too big either... just right! Cheap drinks and friendly approachable bar staff who are always a laugh. The quiz is probably the highlight of the week. Not sure what the quizmaster's name is but he's a crackin lad. Lots of fun to be had!

The cheapest drinks i've had in enfield. Under one seventy for a pint of carlsberg. Thats enough for me!

 Bar staff.
They are friendly. I think the barman byy the name of patrick aka patrice is quite goodlooking. My mate also thinks most of the bar maids are fit too. Twinned with a great service it's a win win situation.

The quiz night on a sunday night is fun, even if the quizmaster gets it wrong sometimes. Prize is small but it's all in the name of fun.

Long wait between courses. Waitress thought chiicken dish orderd was a fish-pie. Dirty plates not cleared promptly. Hot sweets served so long after cold sweets that those with cold sweets had almost finished. Manager stated that cold and hot sweets couldn't be served together. Grudging apology from manager.

Nice pub spoiled by the racist staff
The staff in the Arkley in Barnet road point blank refused to take a perfectly legal Royal Bank of Scotland £10 note as payment for drinks.
No attempt was made to check it's legality under UV scanner and no signs were up to say scottish or northern Irish sterling notes would not be accepted.
On questioning the assistant manager he became rude and proceeded to ridicule Scottish and Northern Irish money/people over the microphone during the quiz. This left me a bit embarassed to say the least. My girlfriends younger cousin whose birthday it was and is in fact a local had to then foot the bill.
A nice pub spoiled by the ignorant, naieve attitude of the staff. Best to be avoided in my opinion.

 Local Pub for Inbreds
This is the sort of pub that if a stranger walks in everyone turns and stares. Drinks are pricey considering the venue and there is no food available. If you like dingy old pubs where 'everybody knows your name' this is the pub for you.

 Thai Food
Great food, decor and fantastic atmosphere. Try the mixed starter, red duck curry with lychees is divine and sizzling king prawns. Great menu, curries, noodle dishes, fish and salads. I have been back several times and will return again.

 Good beer, good juke box!
Friendly staff serve well kept Greene King ale. Foaming pints of mixed (Abbott and IPA) seem to be the order of the day.

 Great fo the football
Been to this pub many times and must admit it is great for the football. Large screens in both bars. Easy to get a drink and the free food at half time is a great treat. The landlord and his wife are a couple of characters and they have a funny son with ginger curly hair who is a good laugh.

 Excellent Pub
The Coach Arms has a great atmosphere with a cheery bunch of locals. For sport it has large screens in both bars and for big sporting events, Mary and Pat the owners, hand out platters of sandwiches to keep the punters happy. Well worth a visit.
