 Unfriendly staff
Having stayed away for a while due to attitude of the staff we returned midweek to find the same staff member Laura D (the horse) obnoxious as ever and will not return.

 Springwell Inn Pit Rd Waterside
11.11.12:- I've been doing pub research on Glasgow pubs since the beginning of the year. Today i went to take a picture and discovered that the Springwell was shut, metal shutters down and sealed off. Does anyone know when this closed down? I used to frequent this pub a long ago with friends. Great pub it was too. ;)
I'm eager to get feedback on this. Thank you.

 SIMPLY THE BEST
I am a long distance lorry driver, and the Glaswegian was recommended by one of the Glasgow drivers. Called in on a match day, and the friendliness of the customers was unbelievable. Good beer, great staff, and an unforgettable day. Highly recommend. Dont know if its family friendly, but if so, kids will be safe. Great place.

 Terrible
This is possible the worst pub in the whole of Scotland.

I would recommend avoiding going into this place if you are anything other than a fat, balding, middle aged fruitcake.

Truly a hun hell hole.

 DISGRACEFUL
Told when trying to order food to come back in half an hour as they were too busy. On returning, were told that they still weren't ready. No apology offered at any point. Waited an hour for order to be taken, then 1 starter appeared half an hour before any one else's. The garlic bread was burned black and the waitress made a face when asked to replace it. Second lot was thick with congealed cheddar. Haloumi wrap served dry without dips, no staff available to request them. Food poor, service disgraceful and staff unapologetic. Customers were discussing the fact that the manager was cooking as one trainee chef had walked out and another was sacked. Highly recommend not setting foot in this place.

 SMILEY FACES..........not
As we are new residents to the area we thought it was nice to find a local bar/restaurant. The food is not bad, sometimes presentation is a bit poor but the barmaid are really something. The manageress should go for lessons on dealing with the public , we have yet to see a smile or even be asked if we enjoyed our food. My husbands nick name for her is Aunt Sally.

 Formerly great pub
This used to be a superb pub, but the new manager seems to be slowly killing the place. Last time I popped in was on a wet, fairly quiet Tuesday night. I had rang the pub earlier that day to ask if they accepted credit cards, which they did. So when I arrived, I politely asked if I could set up a tab for a bite to eat and a few beers using a credit card. I was very curtly told no ... no explanation. I was so annoyed I just walked out. I have no intention of going back., which is a shame, because it used to be such a friendly place, with a great beer range.

Busy during the day with office workers. Evenings are quiet.
Wednesday evening has a free folksingers session with some rare talent attending.

 Service Ok, obnoxious customers
When I went into this pub it seemed to be quite pleasant until clientel started singing bigotted songs to which the staff did not complain about. I was so unimpressed that my partner and I did not finish our drinks and left abruptly.

 A serious place for drinking
I admit that I haven't been here in over five years, but the experience remains vivd in my mind as if it were yesterday. It lurked on a deserted street near the River Clyde. Hospital style lighting, no decor to speak of, no music and no conversation to distract a man from his drinking (and I do mean his, since not a woman was to be seen). A woman probably hadn't darkened its door since the last Tory government; the loo looked like it hadn't been cleaned since rationing ended. All eyes were rooted on the only diversion in the pub, a football match on the telly. All, that is, except for the man sitting alone near the bar, passed out with his head on the table, his pint still firmly in his grasp. This was at 7 pm on a Monday. Two beers were on tap: Tennent's and Guiness (one too many, if you ask me). I forgot to check if they made good mojitos.

To summarise: everything a pub should be, and a welcome alternative to the wine-barization of central Glasgow.

 Absolutely Horrific
Nothing wrong with a pub with a bit of banter but walk into this place with a rangers top on and you get stabbed (this is not an exageration it has happened numerous times). U call that friendly?? I wouldn't be seen dead in any place where songs are sung about killing others especially when its down to the team they support. Utterly disgracefull! Eat the dinner off the floors? Desperate times really do call for desperate measures eh? At least if you sit outside ibrox in need of money someone might give you a pound without throwing it at you.

Great Pub, Banging tunes, good atmosphere, no neds, beautiful friendly barmaids (marry me linsey), celtic pub when games are on but anyone welcome as sectarian songs not tolerated and neither are football thugs.  Atmospheric Travis-ty
this pub has al the feel of an atmospheric local, with all the glam of entertainment. Famously known for being the pub where Travis started out, the former manager (now taken over by his son) kindly let Travis practice above the bar in the Horseshoe. Also famous for the best karaoke in Glasgow as it was the place where Stars in their Eyes Winner (Freddy Mercury) regularly practised.

This bar has a friendly atmosphere with even friendlier staff and prices that put many to shame. I would recommend the wine at bargain prices of 4.89 (Echo Falls) as it always hits the spot and leaves money in your pocket at the end of the night.

they have really old codgers, they quickly learn your drink... & remember next time you arrive, this pisses you off when you wanted a change. They award regulars with Presto food discount vouchers at the start of the year. It's one of a rare breed of pubs where the tennents isn't realy nice. It's a home away from home, reminds me of a craravan in Dunbar.

 Amazing Food!!
The best aspect of this pub in Kirkintilloch is the food. It is brilliant. The service may be a little slow at times but once you get your meal, you'll soon find out why it took so long. Everything is freshly made with plenty of it. The beer/wine stock is average but if your hungry then i suggest you give it a go.

 How bout a job
I felt at home when i walked into Bar Oz.
I was travelling UK in 1997-98, and I found Scotland to be the most interesting.
I had a couple home beers when I was there, I was suprised to find Carlton Cold in your fridge as I couldn't find it anywhere else. The only problem I found when I came in was, there were no Australians behind the bar, perhaps you could do with a hard working Auzzie guy there (like myself?) to show 'em a thing or two.....
I am travelling next year to Scotland with my girlfriend and would love to find out any information you could give me.
