 Great lunch
We had lunch at the TA on a Sunday in May 2008. It was fantastic. The roast gammon was to die for and the crumble pud was delicious. The wine list was good value too. We are taking our wider family back in June.

 Great Food, worth the visit
The way you are made welcome is genuine, and the food is excellent.
The choice is spot-on, and I have yet to find better in this area.
The atmosphere is homely and you feel able to relax straight away. I will be a regular from now on !!!
A slightly more extensive wine list would be nice.

Rob the pot wash!
 Awesome
This is a legendary pub, with an excellent staff. With a coalition of world-class chefs such as Sandra and waiting staff such as Johnathon Keenan the Tankerville Arms has to be the best pub in Eglingham!

We ate at The Tankerville on Saturday 12th August 2006. The food, service, atmosphere and price were great. This is a favourite place of mine to dine out, and I have been several times. I will definitely be going back. Best to book in advance.

 fantastic
I can't understand why this wonderful pub has no reviews? Is everyone trying to keep it secret ....it's always been busy, food spot on and often very good live acts> Everything a pub should be run by great Landlord and Landladyand assisted by super staff .

 Excellent beer, food and garden
Outstandingly good lunches, tapas and Thai curries in evening, at very god value prices. Lovely beer garden. Great Abbott Ale. Non smoking dining room. What more could you want?

My wife and I had a meal here. It was poor value for money and the quality unexceptional. I had smoked haddock, and for the money paid I expected a decent fillet at least one inch thick with large flakes of fish. Instead I received a fillet one quarter of an inch thick. My wife had a prawn curry - it was bland with gritty prawns. The meal was worth a quarter of what we paid. We shall not return.

 Excellent choice for a meal.
We stayed in the area for seven days, and spent four evenings eating at the Tankerville Arms - that is how good it is! The menu offered a good choice, the food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. You do need to book in advance, because it is a very popular venue - that is why we did not eat there on Saturday or Sunday nights, because they were fully booked. Well worth a visit.
