LANDLADY FRIENDLY BUT LOCALS SPOKE WELSH SO WONT BE BACK

A well run pub with great atmosphere !
The Landlord is a typical northerner and doesn't put up with any nonsense. Consequently all the undesirables of the area go to the Stradey Arms opposite !
Your left with a welcoming pub with great beer and hassle free drinking. Colliers is the best pub in town !

 Mental Bar
Possibly the most mental party pub in Llanelli. Excellent beer garden. Will expect a pint of bow for me and Nez for this, Martin!

Good for sport. Big projection screen & plasma TV at bar ensures good view of the games. Scarlets Rugby & Celtic Football usually shown live.

 a decent time
To say I hated eating here is a darn lie!! I never have enjoyed myself. Mr and Mrs Mead are the most charming and humourous owners I have ever met, and the food was bloody brill!!
Well done Mead family, I salute you!!!!

 Now Known as THE BAY
the union inn has now changed hands and is now trading as a bar and bistro.
The Bay (the old union inn) serves a traditional bar menu and also a unique bistro menu. It has a relaxed cosey atmosphear and friendly staff.

 Nice pub.Good beer. OK food
A beautiful pub, well located. Has a great range of beers and food is usually excellent. Bar and kitchen staff are courteous and know their jobs. Only downfall is manager and wife who although can be friendly, have their favourites and can sometimes be abrasive.

Great pub with a touch of Lemon !
By far the best pub in Llanelli, Wales, and probably the rest of the World.
Have had a lot of laughs there over the years and will continue to do so for a long time.
It is a great watering hole to watch the mighty Man Utd stuff their opposition and have a good laugh with the owner Martin Lemon.

Quick pint before a big night!
This pub is in a great location, very near to the clubs. So if you've had a few to many you dont have to wobble far to the clubs. Great deals on drinks aswell!

 Down to earth pub!
The castle is a great pub for a cheap drink with your friends and family. Down to earth people all up for a laugh! The only downside is it could do with re-decorating.

 Kilkennyage
A friendy atmosphere with a healthy emphasis on music (some good Pink Floyd tunes on the jukebox). Good pool table and darts board plus a massive screen for match days. What more could you want?

Now a private house, I believe
This closed years ago. Why is info on pubs in Llanelli so out of date? The Rough Guide to Wales - at least until very recently - listed the Queen Victoria, which was demolished circa 1992. Are we really such a backwater?

 Not for people like us...
...those who enjoy good beer and good conversation, that is. This is a Large Volume Vertical Drinking establishment, or the nearest you'll come to one in Llanelli.

Richard Powell
Not for the likes of me
If you like good conversation and decent beer, look elsewhere. This is a place for LVVDs (large volume vertical drinkers, if you don't know the acronym).

 Now Baldie's Bar, I believe...
...but still a very good pub, with an outdoor bowling alley. Hosts the Llanelli Beer Festival. Good beer. Often crowded. Unusually Bohemian for a Llanelli pub.

Richard Powell
 Actually called the Robbie James
And its real name is the Half Moon, which until it was changed was one of the oldest pub names in use in Llanelli. Let it revert to its old name, and its old ways!

 A sad loss
Now turned into a Chinese restaurant. But the fond memories endure.

 A community hub
Wherever I happen to be living in the world the Colliers, if not my second home, is most certainly my third. It's a well run pub, with a friendly landlord and staff, offering good beer and good company. And on quiet evenings it's as much a living room as a pub. Places like this are too rare these days and we should treasure them.
