 Stolen bar
Bar was stolen by John William Fucker Brannagan,Bill ginger Peden and Derek monkey Lammey. The legal lessee was forced away and these bastards are running the bar illegally. Its shame of east belfast.

Robinson's is a superb bar, no hassles, well apart from the bottom bar and CHUBBY the barman with an attitude problem.........
If you try to buy more than 5 bottles of beers you are told to leave and not told Why......

the Hatfield is a great bar on a visit there from the united states, we were very much welcomed, the staff were really friendly and the music was fantastic. I heard the best traditional folk music there and the guiness wasn't bad either!

 Great Belfast Pub
The Mountainview Tavern is a typical Belfast pub, packed with locals all enjoying a pint or two and enjoying the racing on their large Tv screens.
The beer is good and reasonably priced, and there is always a warm welcome for both new and old customers alike.

Visited belfast for a few days in September 2005 and ended up in the Royal on Saturday and Sunday. Great pub where the locals made us feel really welcome. If I lived in Belfast I'd definitely make this my local.

 family freindly bar/restaurant
this is a family friendly bar with a good homely feel about it. The food and drink is great and the prices are good as well. The staff is very friendly and good at their job. This is a well run bar and always has weekly entertainment. The restaurant is opened every day/night. You have to go and experience the hospitality yourself.

 Crowned !
Excellent food - you have to wait until a snug becomes available, but it's worth the wait.
Used in some old B/W film years ago and still as aged as the whisky it serves.
Well worth the drive up from Dublin

 Typical baricaded bar
Typical fortified Belfastian bar with barred doors and windows and extreme survelliance. You need a local to introduce you or everyone will stare at you. It has a very strong community clientele. Predominantly patroned by old men this pub plays no music but shows horse races and gaelic games.

 excellent atmosphere
I used to go to laverys middle bar every saturday night with my best friend. I've never had a problem in it and I've found the people to be lovely. The staff are helpful and friendly and compared to other clubs and pubs Laverys has to be the cheapest. I've always felt very welcome and almost feel at home. Every time I went I got a good laugh out of everyone there. I have to say Laverys has a brilliant atmosphere and I would definately recommend it to anyone.

 Funky Alternative!
Two very different venues under the one roof.

Downstairs, the 'belfast trad' pub, playin traditional Irish music in an old fashioned setting (open fire, vintage wooden floors, etc.)

Upstairs, a small intimate venue with very cool music (bit of rock/pop/alternative etc). Decor is very kitsch! Imagine Hilda Ogdens livin room in Coronation Street! Biggest problem is the bar (very packed with not enough staff!).

 Good Food, Good Craic
Kitchen Bar is brill, food very enjoyable however I have only one minor complaint about the food, Why no Kitchen Bar Frys?

I was very sad the old Kitchen Bar had to close, however it has found a great new home, in Victoria Square. Abience verry good, the gas fires are very welcomng on these cold winter evenings. Just one thing missing, Pat the singing Bar Man.

 Gem on the Fall Road!
Great locals and always great craic! Good pub any day, even better on Sundays when there is usually a small group of musicians playing Irish Folk music or even better again on Mondays for the Monday Club, for all the serious drinkers to recover from the weekend's drinking! Soup or Stew is served free to customers on busy days.
Good pub to watch Celtic or Republic of Ireland matches, GAA and horse racing.
This pub is full of characters, great craic and a good laugh guaranteed!.

 Very Traditional
Very traditional and right across the road form the famous Europa Hotel, so gets the occasional celebrity visitor. Not much in the way of space it's manly laid out in small booths. Can be busy at lunchtime - the menu is limited but the food is pretty good, but fairly quiet in the evenings.

 Good atmosphere
Known to locals as 'The Bot' it's still a major attraction at the weekends despite the proliferation of new bars in Belfast. Open late (1am) and with a 60/70/80's disco at the weekends upstairs it's got a pretty good atmosphere so it's very busy at weekends - be there before 10 if you don't want to queue. Bar staff are good but the doorstaff seem take a ú3-an-hour job way too seriously.

 Great steak
A bit out of the way but worth a visit if only for the food - they serve possibly the biggest and best steak in Belfast. Fairly small but a decent enough atmosphere

Not as good as it was...
Hunters is set on the Lisburn Road, deep in student country, so it's no surprise they made up a large part of the regulars. Three bars set over three floors. Quite busy at the weekends when it's open late. Very busy when Northern Ireland are playing at home as Windsor Park is about 2 minutes away. Lost a lot of business now that more nightlife is returning to the once troubled city centre. Those in the know say that some of the rougher elements of Belfast now frequent there, but plenty of door-staff mean trouble is very rare.

Gerry Foy
Top spot for a quiet pint
Friendly enough locals and the occasional student make up the clientele of this very traditional pub. Not the livliest of venues, except on Tusday which is quiz night, it's also a favourite with the Northern Ireland football fans so best to avoid on international match days when it's impossibly busy. The upstairs bar is much more comfortable and spacious. Decent selection of beers but try the Guiness, it's excellent. Plus it's got a kebab shop right across the road, what more could you ask for?
