Waited 45 mins to get our meal,price gone up,meat portions gone down.Wants a good dusting and removal of cobwebs .Table and chairs dirty,had to ask for a change of cutlery that was dirty also.

Grove Inn Mick Copley Doncaster Great pub
Went to The Grove Inn today for Sunday carvery and was happily surprised after reading the last review on this site. Welcomed with friendly faces from start, good job we reserved a table as it was very busy. Colin the landlord took the time to come and see us and ask if everything was ok with our meal. The meal had everything you could think of from an abundance of vegetables, roast parsnips, roast and mashed potatoes, yorkshires pudding and stuffing balls. You could have a choice of 3 meats and even pie if you chose to. Everything was lovely.

Good pub in Donny,with Bands on most of the Week,5 mins from Doncaster Train Station,with a Pool Table and good Beers on Tap,And across the Road is a Great Cafe (5 Star Sandwiches) go and see Mary for a Breakfast (Its HUGE) and only £2.50p.

Owston Park Lodge Hazel Almquist / Michael Brown Doncaster
This has obviously changed since 2005. Stayed at Ouston Hall and ate at the lodge the first night (saturday). Food was so good we ate again at the sunday carvery, so good we ate again in the evening and again on the Monday lunchtime. Put on weight but it was worth it. Excellent food and excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful. Will certainly be making a return trip in the future.

White Swan Nigel and Wendy Doncaster high quality good value
we have been ina few doncaster pubs when weve visited docnaster for shopping but reckon the white swan must be one of the best. great range of beers not as cheap as some bargain chains but cheaper than many. we drink real ale but noted a wide range of other beers and lagers as well. The food is superb value for example 8oz sirloin steak and chips 4.95. we visit every time we go to town.

White Swan Postiebob Doncaster Excellent ales and food
Very enjoyable couple of pints, Timothy Taylors Landlord and Theakstons XB both excellently served. This pub is Cask Marque so Steve knows what hes doing. Also very good food and certainly value for money, less than five minutes walk from the railway station. Try it and see what you have been missing.

we had a mixed grill at £9.45 this was the smallest mixed grill i have ever seen with frozen chips and onion rings that were still greasey! and we also had salmon with frozen veg that managed to be mushy and yet still hard in the middle also with frozen chips that were greasey.

Brooke Arms Phil Townend Doncaster Great
Excellent local. Doesn't look much like a pub from the outside; more like a bizarre house. However, Carol the landlady is very hospitable and cooks great food too. Good place to take the kids for a meal in the restaurant area on the right, enjoy a quiet pint in the bar on the left or sit in the sun with a pint outside. Prices aren't bad either!!! Great balance of old fashioned local and modern family pub.

Grove Inn Amanda Chapman Doncaster Atmosphere
The Grove has a very friendly atmosphere. The Landlord and Landlady are always happy to accommodate and the Sunday lunches are very reasonably priced and very nice. Tuesday is quiz night and Friday evenings there is a kareoke night.

Victoria Inn Joe W. Doncaster Lovely pub and excellent food
A pub with a real warm welcome, excellent beer and fantastic food at a reasonable price. Nice beer gardens for the summer and cosy warm fires in the winter. A brilliant local but worth a visit from further afield.
