 Best Food in Mottram
Booked a table in the restaurant and was absoloutly amazed at the transformation of this place. The food was gorgeous, in my opinion probably the best food outside of Manchester. The attention to detail and the staff were perfect. It was also nice after our meal to go downstairs to the pub and sample there cask ale. A perfect night had by all. Thanks

Going in socially now as well
If you havent been into the totally refurbished Red Bull in Stockport yet then you are missing a treat.

The new landlords describe it as The Country pub in the Town and with open fires, great wholesome food and great beer from just down the hill.....this is the Original ROBINSONS BREWERY Directors Pub, a short walk from the brewery and the brewery tour.

I'm also told by guests that the 4 Boutique bedrooms upstairs are superb.

They also have lots of live entertainment on at weekends, great sunday lunch and a wednesday Quiz & Curry night.

Having been in most of the pubs in Stockport town center this one is head and shoulders above anything locally

Call in and enjoy a great traditional clean and tidy well run pub

 Great Pub, great refurb
Ian should stay in Vancouver, typical moaning yank! The refurb and transformation is amazing, all natural wood and big blazing open fire.

The food is very good quality and reasonably priced. There is a good selection of Real Ale's and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Compared to the other pubs in the area, this is head and shoulders above anything else Stockport has to offer

Ian Rowland-Vancouver
The landlord in this pub thinks this dump is the best pub in England....Usually looks closed..The unwashed of Camra (half bitter brigade) thinks its a wonderful place--I guess they dont get out much!!....Be happy you are not far from about 10 local better pubs cos this is the most expensive..

 Great little boozer
Although I live in Vancouver and visit twice a year,, Joan always knows my tipple....I make it my local when i stay in Stockport and its a friendly place..I like the mild and its easy on the wallet..You meet some great characters in this pub and the walls could talk,, especially in the back room..The ghosts are very friendly especially the one at the top of the stairs..Be prepared to stand as there is not much room in this pub...Voted by Stockport people as a hidden gem!!..

This is truly a great, friendly pub. The beer is cheap. The bar staff are a brilliant laugh. This pub has a great atmosphere. Francis and Diane are very helpful and friendly. So i would recommend this pub to all people looking for a pub with these assets.

Sad to see this once great pub go downhill. The food was terrible. Sorry to say it but it needs someone to manage it a lot better than it is now.

What has happened to a great pub?The place is dirty, the food is awful and the service terrible. It's a shame, it used to be really good. It needs some good management. Not just choosing not to open when they feel like it.

Ian Rowland---Vancouver..
Not Bad for a British Pub
Clique-y not overly friendly pub..Although after living abroad for 40 yrs I go in a few times a year for the Mild.....Very friendly when Isobel had it and old habits die hard--food overpriced but then again am comparing to local Nth American pubs food/service /quality...Hopefully new Management will start greeting every customer with a smile and will be surprised at the upswing in business...

very friendly, efficient, lovely food and good choice. Cheap too really considering the quality. Nice quiet little dining room. Had lovely Sunday lunch with family after a walk. Obviously a real chef who even makes real chips. Food very well-presented and tasted great. Not like the re-heated in a microwave, half-frozen inedible rubbish you get at a chain.
