Jacksons Boat Hayley Sale REVOLTING!
REVOLTING! the food here was disgusting, dont go here for a meal! I ordered a chicken burger and my sister had fish and chips. you would think that you cant go wrong cooking these meals as they are ready made and all you do is pop the lot in a chip fryer until the float and give the correct temperature. well, my chicken burger, which was 3 over cooked chicken strips, were served on a chibatta bread meaning it wasn’t really classed as a burger more of a chicken chibatta? I got a limp salad and some, not quite done chips and coldslaw. my sister got a soggy, sloppy tasteless thing that looked as though It had been found floating face down in the nearby lake two weeks prior to serving it to her. it was so greasy she was blotting the grease up with her napkin which wasn’t thick enough to soak it all up. she enjoyed the mushy peas presuming they were from a tin but give credit where its due, this chef actually had enough skill to use a tin openers. it took over half an hour to construct this shambles and half that time to make me feel sick. I can absolutely promise that I will never ever, go there ever again

Jacksons Boat Melissa Sale Great Fish & Chips
We love cycling along the canal as we live nearby in Sale Moor. We treated ourselves to an early dinner at Jackson's Boat recently. The food was excellent and the staff extremely friendly. Our two young children loved it as they could run around in the woodland between courses! The service was very efficient too. We will definitely be going again.

How rude was the italian bar man when I visited the pub earlier today. He was arrogant and unfriendly and just because we moved seat to sit in daylight rather than the dark he refused to give the food! Its a shame about this place as its real nice location but hes well and truly spoilt it for us. My friend is a pub critic and this will not be pub of choice through this ignorant italian man.

Old Roebuck B Yogi Altrincham Fantastic Traditional Pub
This pub simply has the best beer on offer in Altrincham. Thay have a fantastic cask Boddingtons and a selection of other beers, lagers, wines and spirits all kept to the highest standard.The food served here is also first class at a price to please all pockets. I cannot recommend this place enough ..... Go and see for yourself !!!

superb food, great ale, very friendly landlord (danny) in daytime good family pub, in the evening, football or whatver on te telly... pork chops btw are the size of your side plate should you have them, beer is excellent, well kept and in good condition. well worth a visit, best avoided man united matchdays as gets busy, but otherwise go and enjoy the cracking food beer and atmosphere in this very friendly pub

This pubs recent refurbish is a disaster. Its cold and uncomfortable interior is nothing but uninviting and impersonal. Its spacious inside leaves you feeling like you could gaze out of any window and watch pluto float by. Great if your looking for somewhere to hide in a remote corner of the universe. Bay Malton Hotel Graham Altrincham Really nice country pub but close to Altrincham
A really nice country pub popular with the locals and tourists alike. Very handy for the canal and trans penine trail. Huge beer garden for those rare British summer days. The pub itself is very friendly and welcoming plus the beer is always good!

Brooklands Tap Pam Palmer Sale Need to find out if its the same pub
Havent visited the pub but was wondering if it is the same Brookands Tap that my dad was born in. His mum and dad Joseph and Nora Drayton were running the place in 1927. I have one and only one photo of the place and as you look at it it has double doors, with a brick frontage to the left and windows to the right of it. It was run by Chesters when dad revisited in 1970's If anyone can help out with any info would be most obliged. Everyone I can ask has died now.

cannot understand the bad reports on this excellent water side pub. the staff were very friendly, the landlord even seems to fancy himself as a comedian.despite it being busy we were informed that there was a 30min wait for food which was not a problem. the haddock and chips( landlords rec) was huge and cooked perfectly no grease and REAL mushy peas was excellent while my wifes lemon chicken and tiger prawn stirfry was to die for. we will definately visit again in the near future.

visited 11 august. i took my mother and her friend visitingfrom new york for a bite to eat. ordered lamb chops medium rare they were burnt!! cheese and red onion sandwich, no onion on this and the brown bread was hard!!! chicken breast fillet with cheese, brocolli and onions in breadcrumbs, this was reformed meat, of which kind of meat i am not sure and not the fillet of chicken i was expecting!!!! i complained to a member of staff but they were not interested and never returned with an explanation so we left. do not eat here especially with friends or guests to avoid dissapointment and embarassment...got to lymm bistro or the tapas bar upstairs instead. worth the journey and the food is fab!!!!

Hi all, what can i say this pub is the best ive been to in a long time!!! All the staff and Managment to trained to perfection with service to the customer. I have been once or twice and the bar staff even remembered my drinks from the last time i was in the pub! (Well done) The food is great and the Sunday Carvery is to die for!!! you should try it on a sunday. As to the below comments below just ingnore if they was a customer of the pub they wouldnt of got clamped off T&S Parking Services! As you all know you would try anything for a refund?? (Sad People). Anyway less of them go to the pub its on the cannel side with a pontoon on the water and music outside. And ive heard that they do out side BBQ's in summer! The Kings Ransom is the best pub in sale. And the only one that has a Car Park on it. People use this Car Park as a public one and as a Good Customer of the Pub i Can sometimes find it hard to park with friends and family. And other Customers think the same? The Comments you see below are rubblish this is because they didnt read the signs and there is about 6 on the car park walls,one big sign at the back door and three within the pub! The managment and staff at the Kings Ransom are very friendly and helpful to customers who walk into the pub!! I Find that the other comments you see below are just people who are not customers and just trying to give the pub a bad name because they got fined due to them doing person activities and using the Pub!!!

Kings Ransom Rebecca Sawyer Sale Clamping Scam
I visited the Kings Ransom at lunchtime today with a friend, (Saturday 16th April), and while my passenger stayed in the pub, I went over the road to the shops to allow my friend (and passenger) to have a private conversation with her estranged partner. On returning I too found my car had been clamped, and was forced to pay £85 to have the clamp removed. The clamping contractor even had the cheek to call the police (8 officers turned up) who pointed out to me very nicely that they were entirely within their rights and I should pay the £85. Nil points, do not visit this pub and if you are forced to, do not park in the car park !
