 Memories are made of this
Good old fashioned home cooking
a must for lovers of jacket potatoes
also the breakfast is top notch
eggy soldiers reminds me of when i was a young girl growing up during the nineteen twenties in Simba India.
Father was away in the army
and mother and my aunties used to play cards all afternoon and drink themselves unconscious happy memories this pub is well worth the long walk from the station.

 Great bar, great restaurant
WIV rocks and no mistake. I have lived in NW10 for years, and seen this place change from being an awful old place into one of londons best gastropubs.
The menu changed to tapas a couple of years back, which is tasty and a little bit different. The bar is big but cosy during the week, and at the weekend the djs really get the place moving.
I love the WIV and am proud to call myself a regular.

duncan mills
nasty place with seedy locals and raw food
I went in there one night before xmas 2005 with my girlfriend and the place was filled with the owners drunken friends. We found a small table and ordered, i had a chicken snadwhich with raw chicken in it which wasnt very nice. The beer was ok, but expensive. Id avoid this place if possible.

 Lacking atmosphere
An overspill of Kings Cross rejuvenation, this venue has been transformed from a lively, warm community pub into a staid, overdressed bistro that is totally out of touch with real quality, not to mention what people want. The staff were intrusive and sharp, the food was slow to arrive and luke warm and generally the place was lacking in that je ne sais quoi. There was no atsmosphere, warmth or the ability to attract its punters back again, reflected in the emptiness of the place.

 Review on Corrib Rest Pub
The Corrib Rest offers a good choice in menu, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I have been to the Corrib Rest on a number of ocassions and have had the same good hospitality each time.

 Freindly, decent pub
The Murray is quite a locals pub but newcomers are felt welcome and will soon be soaking up the fun and friendly atmosphere. Excellent staff, friendly clientel and good pool table. A good traditional how-good-pubs-used-to-be kind of pub; no frills but not grubby, a place where you go to socialise or enjoy a quiet drink in good comany.

Staff attitude left a lot to be desired
Despite not being very busy on a Saturday lunchtime, the staff at this pub were dismissive and rude. When I politely asked how long my friend's meal would be (my own meal having arrived ten minutes earlier with a promise that the other meal would be here in a minute), I encountered such an bad attitude in the lady serving us that I swore I would never visit this pub again. The food was fine, apart from my friend's steak was undercooked. The burgers were nice, if a little greasy, but the unfriendly staff member in question ruined our lunch so that the quality of the food was a secondary matter.
