 Friendly and accomodating
This Pub is under new management and it certainly notices. Friendly helpful staff who welcome all customers.
Landlord does all he can to integrate customers, especially if alone, and provides a real community/public spirited environment in which to socialise. pop in for a drink if you are passing, you will be pleasantly surprised!

 Menu Boards
During my 45 years in the food service industry, I have learned new things almost as soon as they crop up. If someone has a great idea, I would steal it in a heartbeat, only to improve on it.

Your chalk boards outside....The artist is great. BUT, please take the time to wipe off with a wet cloth before writing new items. Wipe them all off, and go back to the first one that should be dry and work your way back First impressions mean a lot these days.
Congrats on your new Pub, hope to see u soon and enjoy a meal.

Great pub, just reopened as a free house
Bought out of a pub chain in early 2011, Queens Head is now a free house with cask beer, beer garden, traditional pub food. The home beer is Adnams, the food is traditional main pub meals (bangers and mash, shepherds pie, etc) with light lunches such as baguettes, omelettes. There are also Tapas for a more exotic choice. Queens Head is the only surviving pub in Eye town, a prime mid Suffolk tourist destination.

I've only just moved here and before I have had a chance to visit, the Flintknappers have been closed and boarded up! Never got the chance to see Juicy Lucy perform here. Gone Fishin' has been written on one of the hoardings. If only if that was true. Sad thing to happen to such a landmark pub and a sad reflection on what is happening everywhere across this fair country of ours. The traditional English way of life is either changing or just fading. Lets just hope someone buys it and keeps it running.

Where do I start! Good for a laugh, like going back in time! Didnt know people still owned shell suits and danced to the Nolans! The bar staff were ok,very friendly when they could piece a sentence together! The music was again ok but they need a different set of c.d's cause stay in there any length of time and u've heard the whole collection twice over, but in general a nice friendly place, even if it is like the bar out of star wars, with every mutant of the universe in there, but if u want to relax and not worry about todays real world, its the place to spend the evening but only the 1!

 Best Place in Lowestoft
The Triangle Tavern is the best pub in Lowestoft and most visitors claim it to be the best in the country! The friendly happy atmosphere, regulars and staff make for a very enjoyable experience.

Live music and entertainment in the front bar draw crowds from afar whilst the pool table in the back bar satisfies most other people. For more information visit The Triangle Taverns own website at www.TheTriangleTavern.co.uk

Evolving quickly into a worthy Gastropub.
Locally sourced food is treated with respect by the kitchen, and the menu always contains a newcomer or two. This destination is always a guaranteed treat for us both. The landlord has worked hard to create a homely and welcoming atmosphere, whilst his daughters' obvious culinary skills are matched with a quaint eye for detail within the rustic bar and restaurant areas. We are fortunate to live locally, but would decidedly travel from futher afar to experience such delights on offer. Highly recommended.

 Bandbox Doormen
Myself and friends did not travel miles to meet... The Rudest doorteam on the planet. Looking for a coast based club in EA to invest, heard mixed reviews of bandbox, dj & music was good, but the doorman... if ever there was a bunch of wannabes, theyre there. looks like a collection of ex glass collectors dressed as gorrillas! Why do people who earn 8 (wow) an hour think they can be rude. Wont be returning, Stay clear!

 highly recomended
Since Neil & Gill have taken ownership of The White Horse they have continued to improve the standards of the establishment to a high degree not only has the accommodation been revamped to a high standard but the interior of the pub and its furnishings have received a make over but still maintaining the charm and character of the building. I cannot recommend the quality of the restaurant highly enough it is truly outstanding. Defiantly worth visiting for a meal, or making it a central place to stay whilst visiting the area. A very welcoming atmosphere has been created. My thanks to Neil and Gill for a great time.

 Nice
Friendly and popular with locals and visitors - this is the only pub in town that there is atmosphere, yet lots of quiet corners to enjoy the great beer, wine and food.

No loud music except on a Fri and Sat night, when it fills up with well-off local youngsters.

Lively Disco pub, great fun & very friendly!
Agree with Jasons comments pretty much, but I have to say the girls behind the bar have got to be the best lookers in any pub or club I've ever been to!
Top Djs mostly from local radio station Vibe FM, small but well packed dance floor on Fri and Sat nights and Live music every Sunday.
Four bars in case your lucky enough to pull any of the fairly fit birds that seem to frequent the place and you want to talk, a dancers pole on the dance floor and large tv screens in two of the bars.
Look at thier website to get an idea, www.theflintknappers.com I love the place!

 the flintknappers...
If what you're looking for is a cross between a british/portuguese pub and club, this is the place for you. Also comes with a beer-stained pool table, for your enjoyment (they re-felt the table every few months or so, to their credit..) So-so barstaff, their best points are the bass-pumping speakers and fair bouncers. In all actuality, the bouncers are the best I've seen anywhere -- 100% professional in their manners and judgements.

Oh yeah, they have the usual overpriced drinks (by my standards, which is why I drink draft beer -- 2.5.) However, unlike some joints, it's not watered down.

I recommend bringing a few friends to this place, the music is a bit too loud to make friends unless you're on the quiet side of the wrap-around bar.. Plus, it's good to have friends if a local decides to take the mickey. Or if you decide to.

RAF Lakenheath is just a few miles away, so there will be a few yanks about. Usually they're very friendly, if not a bit intimidated. Good fun.

Stop in around 10pm if you're interested. Looking forward to seeing you.
