Jack
 Craig Rainbow, amazing guitarist/singer
Craig Rainbow is willing to play at this pub either at the interval or when the booked musicians have given up. He will play one song and then leave. The clamour for more can be assuaged by phoning Jack on 01437614771 Mobile 07907847352. Later, his book will be full, now is your chance to say, yep, Craig Rainbow's first appearance was here, in my pub. Be advised, Craig's music is unique and he is amazingly gifted. Your choice, guv

 A little gem
I went to the Barking Fox for a meal last night with some friends and we had a great meal with good service. I love Chinese foods and the food there was excellent, better than many others in the area. The service was friendly and efficient and the meals were reasonably priced.

It is a little out of the way as it is a couple of miles from Needham Market but it is well worth the drive to find this little gem of a Chinese restaurant which also offers a take away service.

 pity
ray claims he doesn't tell bands that the first time they play they don't get paid so every band that plays on a thursday or a sunday
throughout the year are free for the first time. so this rates something like on average 200 + bands play every year. the bigger named bands have charge upon the door, set up probley by the venue and therefore recieve a %
so looking across the board this venue is providing a hell of alot of music without a cost to it's self think about this venue I THINK RAY IS PLAYING A RIGGED GAME TO ALL UNKNOWN BANDS

Eight Bells Hadleigh - what a comfy warm pub
Have been to the Eight Bells pub on many occasions and cannot fault the food or the service. Excellent quality of food and plenty of it. Nothing reheted, all served fresh with only a maximum of 10 minutes wait between courses. Landlord (Gianni) and Landlady (Linda) very friendly and nothing too much trouble for either of them. Particularly warm, friendly atmosphere especially at Xmas and New Year - definately well worth a visit, but must book to get meals

 Value for money
Visited many times, with and without grandchildren. Staff cheerful, some delays in busy periods, food varies but normally good to very good. Decent wines and beer always well kept. Just don't be in too much hurry. We have been through three courses within an hour of entering the building !

 poor service/poor food
me and my family came for a meal on the 4th june,we pre-booked the table yet we still had to wait for it,when we ordered are starters we had to wait an extra 30 minutes to get them and when we finally got are main course the peas were hard and the dinner cold.we also came so the children could play on the toys to be told it would be closing early and for them to go in befor there dinner came.

 not again
my family and i went to the thrasher last week. we hadnt been for a long time because the food was very poor. this time no better, cold chips, tough burnt steak, and burger was cremated. a shame really because we used to use it often, but wont be using it in near future unless things change. bar staff still good though even though they get all the moans and groans, which isnt there fault.

 meal out
we have just been for a meal at the swallow, and although not fantastic food it was compensated for by the very helpful, staff. a young girl called anna waited our table and couldnt do enough to help us, which was much appreciated. the bar staff were very pleasant too, we will be having another vist there, just hopeing next time that they havent counted the chips?[ very few] but a reasonable price to pay for what u recieved.

I am a muso, new to the area and went along with the missus to a Jam Night. I've never met such a bunch of friendly people having a genuinely good time. Staff were great. The PA was a bit loud though.

 Very nearly BOOTiful
Stopped by here for the first time on Sunday the 23rd October 2005.
Ordered 1 Sunday roast and a Lamb steak, the food was very good but let down by the vegetables, which whilst they looked good and were the perfect texture had absolutely no taste (Broccoli and Cauliflower) carrots and green beans ok but the roasties were not so great (reheated I think) which was a shame as the rest was lovely. The staff were really friendly and the wine by the glass excellent and so was the Adnams. Price quite reasonable AND they served real Espresso which was an added bonus. All in all good but with room for improvement.

 Poor service / poor food
Yesterday evening I had a meal with 9 friends. Despite there being few customers, we were not greeted at the door but had to find a table for ourselves. The meal, when it eventaully arrived was overcooked in almost every case. And we did not even get a Thank you and goodnight when we paid. I don't think we will be returning to this pub

 Query for the Manager
Wondering if Nigel has the time to send me the contact number/address of Sue the previous Landlady as I am having troubles w the same Bank I believe she had investigated and would probably find certain details about the case useful in preparing a County Court defence.

Great night thanks to all at the swan special thanks to Paul the dj for playing my song hope to see you all soon.
