whiskers1@virginmedia.com

Dear Sir and Madam

I have sent this e-mail on behalf of the band to enquire as to the possible chance that you may be looking to fill a date in your diary for 2012 for a social event at the Hit or Miss inn at Stamford.
We have played the pub on several ocasions as 4 WAY SPLIT We have since exchanged Nigel (RHYTHM GUITARIST) for Sally on keyboards

I tried to find a place to send in details but no joy, so i have put cv on here, i really hope that this is ok.

We are a 4 piece covers band called WAITIN FOR DAVE from Lincoln, who have been together for 6 years.

We cover a wide selection of music from the Who, Quo, the Cars, Steppenwolf, Greenday, Clash, Skids, Buzzcocks, Queen, Stereophonics, Madness, U2, Beastie Boys, Killers, Vapours, Oasis, Kaiserchiefs, Journey, Midnight Oil, Cult, Split Enz, plus many more.,

We do not play 1950,s music and neither do we play any country and western music in any way, shape or form, and we never use agents, but still getting at least 70 bookings per year.

We are all very experienced musicians, we have our own lights and we send posters to advertise the night, which are distributed 4 weeks prior to a booking (unless requested earlier) and confirmation for the weekend is made 7 days before a booking takes place.

Since WAITIN FOR DAVE was formed we have played pubs, clubs, engagement and birthday parties, and retirement parties, wedding anniversary parties, wedding receptions, Butlins holiday camp, village and school halls, RAF Scampton officers mess, night clubs, beer festivals, a wedding vow renewal night (for a biker), night clubs, classic car and custom bike shows, village fetes, football clubs, rugby clubs, cricket clubs plus numerous other events.

And also since the band was formed we have played over 500 bookings in 6 years and played in Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire, East Coast, Grimsby, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, East and West Yorkshire and of course Lincolnshire.

You can book WAITIN FOR DAVE knowing that you are assured of a great nights of live music, from 4 highly experienced, hard working musicians who enjoy a laugh and a smile on stage, but who are passionate about the music.

With Barry on lead / rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Nick on Bass and backing vocals, Sally on Keyboard and backing vocals and Dave on drums keeping a rock solid beat at the back, the music is totally live and not a tape in sight.

We are happy to accept a booking on either a Friday / Saturday night, or Sunday afternoon (afternoon gigs to be finished by 6pm)

or a bank holiday Sunday night (normal times)

No bookings accepted Monday to Thursday and no up stair bookings taken.

Normally the show is either 3 x 30 minute spots or 2 x 45 minute spots.

The fee to book WAITIN FOR DAVE in 2012 is 220

...............................

We can be contacted if wish to book the band, or for an informal chat by calling the number which is at the top the page, or by e-mail also at the top of the page.

You can contact WAITIN FOR DAVE knowing that you will always receive a friendly, helpful and professional response be it for a definite booking or just an informal chat on the band.

We are available for late cancellations on a Friday or Saturday night providing that we are given plenty of notice 4pm latest and of course if the band is available on the date, and any of the band does not have prior arrangements.

We have several dates available for the first three months of 2012 which i have included in this infomation of WAITIN FOR DAVE.

And finally on behalf of WAITIN FOR DAVE we would like to say thank you for taking the time to read the details on the band, and we look forward very much hopefully to your reply in the not too distant future.

Kindest Regards

Dave C

Great spot for families wish we had one like it at home. We are just home after week in Skegness. Artists, bit so so but kids love it because of the play area. Food good, rump steak for think 6 45, good value. We spent every night there.

 wonderful pub
Flying from Barkston Heath in 1965/6 when the weather was too bad to fly we would all go to the Houblon Arms for a lunch-time drink and stay for a couple of hours.Yes,I know ,but the owner was the local magistrate and very hospitable.Happy memories of a lovely place.

 Super!!
I visited the Nags Head on Sunday evening (01/08/2010).

I ordered the 14oz Mixed Platter. It was delicious. All meats were cooked to perfection, the rump was especially nice. The meal took a while to arrive but everything looked frshly cooked....no 'ding ding' food here.

My girlfriend had the Calun Chicken & Ribs. There were no complaints about the meal and the plate was empty at the end of the meal. She was provided with a finger bowl for the ribs which is something that I've never seen in a pub before. :-)

The desert menu was fantastic, it took my girlfriend ages to decide what she wanted and we weren't dissapointed. The desert was fab, very well presented and tasted beautiful.

Overall we were very impressed, the decor was quite nice, the service from the staff was outstanding (although this was a quiet time) and I cant fault them at all. I left with a full stomach, a lighter wallet and a happy girlfriend.

I will definately be returning to the Nags Head.

Thank you.

 nice pub not nice owners
Separated from my group of friends this Friday evening I hoped I may meet them here as in the past. Went in to see if they were in only to be verbally abused across the bar full of people by the owner and wife for using the wc without ordering a drink. Very rude, not nice nor very wise individuals. Yes we went elsewhere to spend our cash.. Every recession has a silver lining!!!!

Dont know which place Richard Gramham commented about, but he is the companies SECETARY, so it seemed to be a biased comment, the structure to the food menu and presentation, in my opion is poor. The mash potato for example tastes likes its reheated, - very poor

 Lousy management
I bought 5 worth of drink from the bar and my wife and I got an adminishment from some female manageress for eating food not purchased on the premises i.e. a 35p bag of crisps. I shall not be drinking in a pub that sinks to that level of pettiness, and the 35p bag of crisps just cost her around 500 worth of my busines this year. Excellent management skills. You should be fired.

 The Fulbeck
Visited this pub over the weekend, the staff are ill mannered and wont tell you the pricing of the meals, the food was appalling and severely over priced.

The pub itself is a dive, and personally I will never go in the place and I certainly wouldn't take children in their either.
