 Well worth a visit.
The Bowbridge Arms has had a chequered history in the recent past, but things seem to be on the up now.
The former British Oak has been renovated into quite a pleasent establishment. Thankfully one of the original features of the pub has been retained- the etched windows with oak trees on them. A comforting reminder of the past.
Indeed the interior of the pub, strikes a nice balance between modern comfort, and characterful features, like the bare stone walls and wood burner.
They do good food at the Bowbridge Arms, which is well presented and reasonably priced. At the time of writing, there are four handpumps, so the real ale enthusiasts are catered for.
All in all, a highly recommended pub.

 Awful food
The worst meal in the cotswolds.
My fish rock hard through over cooking and my partners steak at 17.95 came with cheap frozen chips and onion rings.
When I complained I got 20% of the cost of my fish, of which I only ate a quarter.

 Just a GREAT community PUB
I have been to this pub alot lately and have always been made welcome by not only the landlady and landlord Donna & Martin but by the whole pub. They have sport on the telly most nights,a pool table jukebox full of old sixtys tunes as well as the more up todate music. Pop in on a sunday the whole pub is packed and sometimes they have discos karaokes or live music. They also have a thriving darts team and it is rumoured that there will soon be a weekly quiz night. So pop along to this local and enjoy a great pint of beer.

 NEVER AGAIN !!!!
While the meal we were served was of a good standard the service was of such poor quality it ruined what should have been a valentines dinner! I was warned by the chef that his food might give me the SQUITS, the tiolets were filthy and the waitress decided to put a reserved marker on our table for the next guest whilst we were still eating!(really made us feel welcome) Never again
very poor

Went and had dinner. The service was very good & the staff were friendly. My friends meal looked & tasted very good.I ordered the steak and kidney Pie and found it strange considering the price of the pie that I had to pay extra for a few potatoes & there were no vegetables. The presentation of the pie was poor.Have to say it reminded me of a meal being served in a motorway service station. The pie was nice.

Don't bother if you fancy a drink
It may be an OK pub for food but do not bother to visit for a drink only. You are treated as second class citizens. Whist waiting at the bar my wife was ignored twice whilst diners jumped in front of her to pay their bills. When I came to the bar and remarked how rude that was, the young barman angrily retorted It is not rude, we are short staffed [?!] and don't come back here.
His wish will be granted.

We as a family came to your restaurant on Friday evening, we ordered our food,as we have been to tipputs many times we thought we were safe eating there, I am really sorry to have to say this but when our food came I was very shocked to say the least the portions were very sparse, and if I had not had a dessert I would have gone home hungry, I am not complaining about the quality of the food I am complaing about the value for money, we as a family will not use tipputs again.

 Very poor
Only 1person serving at bar and same person takes meal orders and waits on at tables! Long wait for drinks. 1 hour to wait for main course-only 1 person in kitchen. THIS IS A 2 PERSON MANAGED PUB. Food poor quality. Despite complaints no action taken. Pub untidy-work being undertaken. Would avoid this establishment

 Excellent
Have just had lunch there today. Four main meals for approx. 32. Pretty good value. Very tasty, quite nicely presented. And a good pint of Old Hooky. Staff friendly. Non smoking restaraunt. Warm enough. Good selection of vegetarian dishes.

 Fantastic!
The Old Fleece is a superb pub-great atmosphere, great staff and more importantly fantastic food. This has to be one of the best places in the area to eat, good quality, fresh ingredients and reasonably priced. Visit their website www.foodclub-uk.com, I found it really good for checking up on the new menus and their diary.

 Terrible pub
I needed to use a phone (I could pay for the call) at 21:00 on Saturday night as I was stuck in an area I was not familiar with, I had my 10 year old daughter who felt sick with me, a mobile phone which would not pick up a signal. I went in to the pub with my daughter and asked if I could use a phone as my mobile was not picking up a signal and I was stuck.I was told to walk around oiutside until I got a signal. I could not use their phone. What a disgrace!! I was almost in tears.

Character landlady (Lotte) serving well kept real ales and hosting a variety of events including an excellent and friendly pub quiz (1st Wed of every month), live music, art auctions etc. Close to the spectacular Rodborough common.

 Very clean, well managed pub.
Excellent food, which is served throughout the week and weekends (including Sunday evenings). The bar is very friendly, which serves a good range of bitters and lagers.
Well recommended.

 Very Frendly - Excellant Service
I've been using the old fleece for over ten years, super staff, well trained, all professional - Ian looks after everything.

Food is always good, don't be worried about just ordering garlic bread if you just want a snack, the staff don't.. Specials always available.
