 Excellent value for money
We have four children and this is a real treat to be able to eat out, nice surroundings and a good value for money meal. Plently of choice with extras to choose from if you want something a little different. Fast efficient service always with a smile. They cater for all the kids little whims peas not beans etc. We all love going to the clock tower. Well worth a visit.

 great food and service
We went to the clocktower for a meal as we had been recommended and i would say it was the best place i have been to in a while. The food was excellent and fast. and to add to that it was also a bargain. i could not fault it. Im even going back for my birthday meal.

 Great Value
The Clock Tower has a great 2 for one offer. The food is fantastic value - with the offer most dished can be had for between 5 and 7. We've been many times and we've not had any complaints.

The last time that I was presented food like today was at Cheltenham Grammar Scchool in 1960.
The vegitable dish had burt on food from last use, the meat was cold, the brocaulli was boiled to match the cauliflour. The excuse was that the meal was'reheadted and that it could not be heated more??

 Well done Maurice
Our reunion was held in the Venue at the Wheatsheaf Pub July 2006. It was the ideal venue - excellent - a good time was had by all. There was plenty of room for dancing, talking and drinking. There is a large garden area leading off the Venue where Maurice housed his BBQ
Thanks to Maurice for all his hard work and we'll see you at the next one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

for the cheltenham festival it really is unbeatable! during raceweek there are punters, owners, tipsters, trainers they are all in the bar each night! along with the live music and a menu of thai or traditional british food it makes for very busy and enjoyable niights.

 Great Venue
Went to the Wheatsheaf Inn at Old Bath Road in Cheltenham for the New Year Celebrations. Had a very good night, great disco, great buffet and they certainly have a huge function hall for 150 people. Going again on the 24.02.06 to see the Decameron.

 Welsh Underpants
On entering the premesis i was surprised to see a man standing by the bar wearing a pair of welsh underpants singing Delilah! I thought to myself this looks like a good place to have a beer.

I would NOT reccomend going there. Me and my wife Jane got rubbish service throught out our stay. We got served by a member of staff who i think was called William who didnt give us our orders. We asked for drinks but they were flat and the food was cold!

So think twice before you go to this pub!

 Toilet Situation
The Two Pigs in Cheltenham has some of the best alternative music in Cheltenham. However, the ladies toilets need some serious help! And it would be nice if the bar staff could make sure theres toilet roll in there! Come on guys dont spoil my night!

good beer, good food, good value
beer, particularly Deuchars IPA, very well kept.
menu not full of pretentious words, but instead offered basic pub food at a very reasonable price. not the place for a special night out, but rather more one for after a long walk or ride.
got exactly what I expected, so left very happy!!!!

 bad food and service
went for an evening meal for two...cappucinos were cold.....no vegetables with meal ..gravy lukewarm..about half way through meal noticed that remaining lamb cutlet was undercooked with fat almost raw..asked for a replacement chop as I wasn't there for a free meal just a properly cooked one...( and I was told no replacement meal would have been offered anyway ).. waited 20 -25 minutes..no one came so went and found duty manager who I had to explain the whole situation to at length...apparently a trainee was involved .. after another 10 minutes a properly cooked chop was presented ..and a 5 voucher for next time I called..!!

 Complete fiasco
Food was OK but beware of going with a large party. Took 90 mins to get our desserts. Puds are simple ready-made microwavable things, not needing cooking, but all came at different times, many errors, some people left for an hour after reminders. Very rude trainee kept giving excuses as if that made it Ok. Second part of our celebrations messed up totally because we were all late.

Possibly the worst pub this side of Burnley
Rough, dirty, and probably the nastiest place to buy a pint in the country. With an enormous chav element this place is infamous for its 24 hour lock ins and brawls which spill into the street in the wee small hours attracting visitors from miles around to watch the local police arrive and then take hours to hassle the underage drinkers into a meat wagon, total entertainment. I can highly recommend that this example of what makes britain crap be avoided like the plague!

Mr Sullivan
 great local
i am use the pub around 4-6 days a week including food.
i find the atmosphere excellent and the staff very friendly and a bit of banter can be had with them.
the landlord is also a very friendly person too.the food is usually excellent too with large portions and you can chop and change items to suit your needs.
their also seems to be a very wide ranging age group of people there so i guess trying to please everyone is going to be hard

Mr Davies
 Friendly local
I use this pub on a daily basis and have to disagree with other comments. I find the staff friendly, they always have a laugh and a joke with you. Admitidly I am in my mid twenties and so may not understand the 'older' perspective but i do feel the staff are in no way rude or arrogant. Food is always good and a good selection of beer is available on tap. It is the best pub in the area.

 Good lord!
Jim Bob! Is that you! I thought you were dead, man! And was that young Simon with you? Good, good. Excellent. Hope to see you soon... maybe for a snifter in the DoY! Certainly the best pub between the London Inn and that one by the Little Chef out Shipton way. Good show.

 Best Sport bar in cheltenham
Simply the best place in Cheltenham to kick start a cheltenham night out, to relax with the other half or best of all a few pints and watching a big match.

Mrs L Kelly
 bad attitudes and loud noise
This is the only pub in walking distance and we used to use it 3 or 4 times a week for food - however the staff behind the bar are becoming increasingly arrogant and rude. The music is often on at the same time as the sports commentary making a completely unbearable cacophony. Also the music suits the staff NOT the customers We are forced to listen to RAP whilst we try to eat! At the times that we go customer age is NOT early twenties - nearer to 50/60+ No contact for the pub group (Giant's Plate) is given on the menu and the staff do not respond to our complaints.

Rubbish. Don't even bother anymore. Used to be one of the best and nicest pubs in the town centre aout 2 years ago, but now that Justin is practically running the place with his shit attitude the place has gone totally down the drain. AVOID.
