 Met my husband there
Met my husband there when the landlord
( my uncle ) sent members of the public up to the function room with their drinks after they had been chatting to my cousin all evening.
We held our wedding reception in the function room two years later!

 Murco garage
Was next to the Warstock Pub, until about 1984 when flats were built on the site, but if you look at the driveway to the flats, you can still see the stones set in cement that once were painted by me as entrance to the Murco!! Happy days!

This used to be a good pub, and could be agin if the owners concentrated a bit more tim on running the pub instead of raising money for charity after all it's supposed to be a pub not band aid.
enoughs enough.
fed up with people asking for my hard earned money to give to lost causes.

Phil from Darlington
 Great atmosphere.
Got back to the Paragon Hotel at 1030pm. Had a drink at the fairly dour hotel bar and then remembered a sign for a pub on the street outside the hotel. Thought it might be dodgy or about to close, but decided to give it a try. Went inside and found it to be lively and friendly. There was a good mix of people. As it was quite late, most people were well oiled, but there was no hint of trouble. A live band came on and I sat and drank Guinness, enjoying the music and watching people dancing. Left at 1am. Highly recommended.

Nasty atmosphere at the end of night. Neanderthal steroid induced bouncers wouldn’t allow an ambulance to be called for a broken ankle caused by the bouncers knocking partner over chasing somebody (taxi ordered by Cleary’s and patient manhandled – could have made the injury much worse). Do not go here – it is a dump!!!

 The Real Deal
I have just been to the OMA (for the fourth time) and I really want to sing their praises.
This is how a proper pub ought to be: offering a warm welcome, great food and an excellent range of beers etc.
It is hidden away a bit on Tindal Street, in the back streets of old Moseley, but this just means that the interior has not been over-modernised. They have open fires, conversation between friends, a bit of banter, but you can sit and sup, or... did I mention the food?
This pub serves the best tandoori and biryani dishes I have tasted outside my ex-mother-in-law's house. I love Indian food, and I can honestly say that I have never had a lamb biryani as wonderful as the one ate at the OMA this evening.
With mouth-watering food, beer festivals, quiz nights, and friendly hosts and locals, this is a pub that restores your faith in the future!

 Excellent food and staff.
All the family have enjoyed the carvery at the Village for years now. Good, wholesome food, plenty of different veg, something for every finicky eater :) The staff are very attentive, they and the manager are personable, and extremely good natured. The manager has also supported my charity fundraiser this year (the first time I asked). A big THANK YOU, and see you Sunday.

Tom 'Blood Clot' Cleary
 West End Bar Warrior
Anyplace where everyone is drinking tea and dropping nobblies at 8am gets my vote.
Remember buying some B & H and they turned into a mini Swizzers bag (sweets i.e. drum sticks, black jacks, fruit salads etc) and when I touched them they would slowly disappear off my hand like the way Marty's family disappear off the photo in back to the future.
Anyway, suffice to say, this place was raving and I've never experienced a club like it.

A place in Brum where girls don't dress as strippers and where music isn't brainless chart music! We went there yesterday after some shopping at the Bullring and ended up staying until midnight (with some dinner at the Rectory in between). Very good prices for drinks, nice and relaxed atmosophere good music. There was live music in the upstairs room which was EXCELLENT! Definitely going back there for a night of music.

 Wheelclampers Heaven
This pub does NOT support responsible drinking by the looks of it. It has a Park & Display car park, which I have found to be very unusual. I should imagine that it is a very rare occurence for this. So drinkers BEWARE, if you are not a regular here i.e. they don't know you!!!! your car will be clamped. My son has never come across this before and neither have I, when he queried it with the management he was told that they didn't know him. Forgive me for saying this but it sounds as though if you are not a regular at this pub you are not treated very well. I am sorry but I thought every potential customer would become a regular if treated correctly.
So behold all you responsible people who do not DRINK & DRIVE dont frequent this public house or it will cost you a packet in clamping fees. Not a very friendly approach was had by my son and after a very difficult week has lost his car to the clampers

 ASH meadow
the ash was in a very bad state, and was in need of a total facelift, but it will be very much missed by young and old members of the brandwood community. It was a great meeting place as every one that drank there always had a friendly face to talk to,many that used the pub did so for over 30 years and the younger crowd that used the pub were more than likely to be the adult children of many of the older patrons.

This pub was the greatest place I've ever been to.
It played the best music in Birmingham and had the livelest crowd of regulars I've ever met. Sometimes I just used to forget about going up town all together! Grab an early night get up first thing and land there fresh on a Saturday morning. The bouncers were sound, the place was rocking from 7 till 1 on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
I'll never forget the west end bar, or the day it got shut down. We ended up havin to go the cinema in town and we were all off our heads!! ha ha. Well, all I can do is hope that one day it will re-open but I doubt it considering what happened.
The music lives on though and the music that started there is now played by hundreds all over Birmingham and the UK. But it started there.... and at Genesis, but that's gone as well, may they both rest in peace.

 Best Boozer in Brum
Have long been an avid fan of this place, especially as it has late licence and a beer garden, live music, dj's and the most laid back easy vibe of any pub in the midlands...also when you get the munchies after a few hours drinkin, there is an exquisite barbeque out the back, doing a festoon of meat and veg burgers to delight all tastes.

 Really good
Me and my wife popped into the Actress and Bishop for lunch the other week. I had a rack of ribs, which was bigger than my plate with chips and a salad and my wife had half a roast chicken also with chips and a salad both for just £4.95! And the food was delicious. The drinks prices are more than reasonable too and when i seen the Actress and Bishop featured on this website i had to make a comment as i was very impressed to say the least. I havn't had a chance to go back as of yet, but I assure you Me and my wife will be making time to go back soon. And if anyone is in the area be sure to pop in for a bite to eat or a drink, the atmosphere is so warm and cosy.

 Worth visiting
The Bell is my local (it's just behind where I live).

In Coleshill, it is the most lively place to be on a Fri/Sat evening. Good selection of booze and they tend to have plenty of staff so you don't have to wait too long. It sometimes is a bit crowded near the bar on busy nights though.
