 Brilliant Homely Pub!
What a lovely place this Pub is! The food is GREAT - especially the Fajitas! Bill, Rose & Paul are so friendly - it's like home from home!
We love the warm welcome, the Woodburner and the prices are very reasonable and the Chef will often make a few amendments to the mnu if you ask nicely. We have eaten here over 20 times and never had a poor meal - thankyou RAB!

 The RABI is Back!
When Bill and Rosie ran the Royal Albert Bridge Inn (the 'RABI' to its regulars) it was everything a traditional, 'proper' pub should be - a warm welcome, great beer, good food and lively conversation with its friendly clientèle.
Then it changed hands, and went downhill - a long way downhill.
The good news? Bill and Rosie are back - and so is the RABI!
Happy days are here again...

 Living in the Past
The food was strange. Garnish came with everything. Lamb shank: 50% fat,25% bone 25% meat, yet had garnish of tomato, cucumber and lettuce swimming in the gravy? Gammon came with salad but still had extra garnish?? Friendly staff though and customers who had been before and came back. I thought the days of pubs where your feet stuck to squidgy carpets had long gone but apparently not. Nostalgia is fine, but this pub is in severe need of decoration and modernisation. The windows are still nicotine stained. How long has the smoking ban been in force? The setting has so much potential overlooking the river Tamar. the views are great. i will go back next year and see if it has ghanged

staff were friendly enough when we were the only people. They didnt seem to know what they actually had available off the drinks menu. didnt un-do the bottle for us. took a while to turn the air conditioning off.. The food isnt very good the vegetables were soggy and the rice was overcooked. The prices of drinks are ridiculous. overall i wouldnt go back again

 RABI Gone downhill
Went today, food has definitely gone downhill, has a sign saying we don't do good fast food, we do good food fast, all cooked fresh to order. So how come the mashed potato on my plate was instant powdered mash potato. Doesn't fit their sign description! Won't be going back in a hurry..... and the real ale was cloudy... shame, we've always enjoyed using the pub occasionally but won't be rushing back

on the bad treatment received by 3 of the staff on a recent visit, my sister is disabled so we entered the restaurant by the side door seeing a table easily accessable for my sister, she remained at the table while I went to reception to request this table to be seated, explaining to the waitress the situation, we were treated with total distain & contempt, made to wait on purpose because You didn't wait to be seated what the 3 staff members need to remember in this economic climate they will require all the custom they can get and should be treating customers with respect not as a hinderance, had it not been difficult for my sister we would have got up & left.

 The Lung Cancer Inn
Bring on the no smoking ban. This is a pub that badly needs it. You emerge saturated in nicotine as the extractors never seem to be on. A pity, as this is a good catchment area for business.

Popped in on a few occasions when I have been in Plymouth on business. Fantsatic bar, atmosphere, great topless girls and freindly people.
This is unique as I come from London and apart from strip joints this is the only topless bar I know. Does anyone know amy others?

 Enjoyable Evening
Impressive well presented countryside pub/restaurant. Good place to take visitors or to recommend to others. Tables outside have a commanding view of the countryside and beyond. Very quick service by attentive friendly staff who seem to enjoy their jobs. Always a bonus.. The food presentation is excellent and the serving sizes enable you to enjoy 3 courses without regret! A small but good wine selection.
Negatives? The staff are I'm afraid too good looking and can be a little distracting. You've been warned!

 grubby, noisy 'hotel'
if you don't mind very smoky, noisy, pretty grubby pubs, with very basic bar food, this is OK; if you want a small, friendly, hotel, do not stay here.......the rooms are dirty, you're woken at 7am when the pub's air conditioning/vent kicks in - the room above actually shakes and rattles........never, ever again.....

Best Little Pub in the South West
As I understand it, this pub reopened under new ownership 3 years ago following extensive refurbishment. Great pub atmosphere with a wonderful view and friendly owners, I would recommend this pub to people who wish to avoid the noise and roudiness often associated with the Barbican.

We visited the Miners for a meal after being reccommended by friends. Have to say how disappointed we were with the food. Service was good but let down by the appalling meal. If you are looking for a good night out whether you’re young or old, you will find the Staddy a warm and friendly place to have a good time. I have attended private parties in the Staddy’s fantastic function room and often watch live sports on the two large screens in the main bar. I particularly enjoy the live bands that are there every Wednesday and Saturday nights. I can quite safely say it is the best fun pub in Plymstock.

What other pub has live bands twice a week. It is like one big family.

I dont know who Jason, Lisa or Becky are but they MUST be thinking of the wrong pub with there comments in March/April 05. I've been going to that pub for about 7 1/2 years now, yes there might have been a few scuffles in those years but nothing like they said. Personally, I think it was for othe rpersonal reasons why they said it and they owe the licencees and proprieters a BIG APOLOGY. Its a GREAt pub and if anybody fancies trying the live music and great entertainment then GO THERE. Top Place!

Great little pub in an ever changing plymouth. One of the true ale houses which offers locally produced ales.
Me, I'm more of a cider man. They serve a lovely pint of Cheddar cider and they also keep a range of Thatcher bottled cider as well. New JUKEBOX, rustic furniture, PROPER PUB!

 No place to be!
When my father was landlord of the No Place Inn I heard a story of how this pub got its name. Apparently the pub now stands on the site of the city gallows that were in use long ago. When criminals were hung their bodies would be left for days maybe weeks. Obviously the bodies would putrify, people would be put off going anywhere near the place because of the terrible sight of rotting corpses and the obnoxious smell. As a result the towns people of Plymouth would say that the top of Eldad Hill was No place to go!!
Of course whether its true or not I have no idea but I cant think of any other reason why the pub should bear such an odd name.
Lets hope any refurbish this pub may undergo (Probably in desperate need of one!!) doesn't include a name change because I'm sure there is some history behind the name, maybe some history that can be exploited in a commercial sense!

We've been going to the Treby for years now and the service and food are second to none. Fantastic little Pub with great home cooked food. It seems that news of good food travels fast and they're usually fully booked at the weekend, so you'll need to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
